"...I'd rather be lonely than have your filthy company!"

You woke up to the painfully irritating screech of your phone alarm. You could've broken your phone right there and then. You had hardly caught any sleep at all during the cursed weekend. You had nothing but your thoughts to keep you company, which was horrible company. At least your mom was home all today. She had the whole Monday free since it was a national work holiday which, sadly, didn't apply to the education aspect of things. You were still forced to go to school. You dragged yourself out of bed, not bothering to brush your hair. Well, what was the point in putting effort into your appearance? There was obviously no one that cared.

After getting dressed into your school uniform, you sauntered down the stairs and made your way to the kitchen. You lazily made yourself a piece of jam toast, really packing on the jam in attempts to drown your sorrows with sugar.

"What's the matter, y/n?" You heard your mother ask, concern evident in her voice.

You tried to fight it, but as you finished off your piece of toast, you felt the hot trails of tears stain your cheeks.

"Oh, y/n... sweetie"

You looked at your mom who had abandoned her ironing to engulf you in a hug. You finally broke, resting your head on her shoulder and crying your heart out.

—————————

You watched the scenery pass by in flashes through the passenger seat window. You had told your mom about all that had happened in the last week; the kiss at the party, the feelings you had for Kaminari, and what he and Jirou had done. Your mother had combed your hair as you spilled your heart out, lifting a weight from your shoulders. She then told you to wash your face while she cooked up a 'real' breakfast. And a real breakfast it was, the warm food in your tummy made you feel a lot better, and your mother offered to drive you to school.

So you were on your way to school, listening to the crappy song choices on the radio while your mom filled you in on all the workers' gossip at the company.
