The days turned into weeks as (Y/N) navigated the complexities of her pregnancy. Each morning brought with it a mix of excitement and anxiety, and Draco remained steadfast by her side, providing unwavering support. As she began to settle into her new reality, the thought of revealing her situation to her family loomed heavily on her mind.

It was a chilly Saturday morning when (Y/N) and Draco sat together in the Gryffindor common room, surrounded by the warmth of the fire crackling in the fireplace. The golden light cast flickering shadows on the walls, creating an intimate atmosphere that felt safe amidst the chaos of their lives.

“Are you ready for this?” Draco asked, his gaze steady as he studied her face.

“No,” she replied, a nervous laugh escaping her lips. “But I have to be. I can’t keep hiding this forever.”

Draco nodded, his expression serious. “We can do it together. I’ll be right by your side when you talk to your parents. You won’t have to face them alone.”

The thought of facing her parents filled (Y/N) with dread. She had always been the perfect daughter, following in her family’s footsteps and adhering to their expectations. But this was a different path entirely, one that was shrouded in uncertainty and could potentially shatter their carefully crafted image.

“I just hope they’ll understand,” (Y/N) said, biting her lip. “What if they’re angry? What if they disown me?”

“They won’t disown you,” Draco reassured her, reaching across the table to take her hand. “You’re their daughter. They might be upset at first, but they’ll come around. It just might take time.”

“I know you’re right, but I can’t help but feel scared,” she admitted, squeezing his hand tightly. “I’ve never had to go against their wishes before.”

“Just remind them that this is your life, not theirs,” he encouraged, his voice firm. “And if they truly love you, they’ll want what’s best for you. You deserve to be happy, (Y/N).”

Taking a deep breath, she felt a rush of determination flow through her. “Okay. I’ll do it. I’ll talk to them today.”

Draco smiled, his confidence infectious. “That’s my girl. Let’s do this.”

After a few more moments of quiet encouragement, (Y/N) stood up, feeling a mix of nerves and determination. “Let’s go. I can’t put it off any longer.”

They made their way to the grounds, the chill of the autumn air a stark contrast to the warmth radiating from their hands intertwined. (Y/N) felt her heart race as they approached the grand entrance of the castle, her mind racing with potential outcomes of the confrontation ahead.

Draco stayed close, offering comforting words and gentle squeezes of her hand. As they reached the entrance hall, (Y/N)’s breath quickened, and she felt her stomach tighten with anxiety.

“Are you sure you want to do this now?” Draco asked, his brow furrowing with concern.

“Yes,” she said resolutely. “The longer I wait, the harder it’ll be. I have to tell them.”

With that, they stepped outside into the brisk air, heading toward the edge of the Forbidden Forest where (Y/N)’s family often spent their weekends. She felt the weight of the world on her shoulders as they approached the clearing, her heart pounding in her chest.

As they neared the familiar spot, (Y/N) caught sight of her parents, standing together and deep in conversation. Their figures seemed regal, exuding an air of authority and expectation that sent a shiver down her spine.

“(Y/N)!” her mother called out, her voice warm but carrying an undertone of authority. “We were just discussing plans for the upcoming holiday. Come here!”

Taking a deep breath, (Y/N) exchanged a glance with Draco, who nodded encouragingly. With every step, her resolve strengthened, but the anxiety still bubbled within her.

“Hello, Mother. Father,” she greeted, trying to sound more confident than she felt.

“(Y/N), it’s so good to see you!” her mother said, her smile wide. “We were just discussing how proud we are of you. Your grades this year have been outstanding!”

“Thanks, Mum,” (Y/N) replied, forcing a smile. “I wanted to talk to you both about something important.”

Her parents exchanged curious glances, the light in their eyes dimming slightly. “What is it, dear?” her father asked, his expression turning serious.

Taking another deep breath, (Y/N) squared her shoulders, feeling Draco’s reassuring presence beside her. “I… I have some news. I’m pregnant.”

Silence enveloped the clearing, thick and suffocating. (Y/N) held her breath, watching as her parents processed the news. Her mother’s face paled, while her father’s brows furrowed in disbelief.

“Pregnant?” her mother echoed, her voice barely above a whisper. “What do you mean?”

Draco stepped forward, his expression protective. “(Y/N) and I are going to have a baby. We’re committed to each other, and we want to make this work.”

“You’re too young for this, (Y/N),” her father said, his tone stern. “You have your studies, your future—this is not the time to be starting a family.”

“I know that, but this is happening whether you approve or not,” (Y/N) replied, her voice shaking but firm. “I need you to understand that I want to keep this baby. I want to be a mother.”

Her mother’s eyes shimmered with unshed tears. “But what about your future? You had so much planned, dear. You’re throwing it all away!”

“Throwing it away?” (Y/N) exclaimed, her frustration bubbling to the surface. “This is my choice! I can still have a future and be a mother. It won’t be easy, but I want this.”

Draco’s hand tightened around hers, providing strength as she faced her parents. “You both raised a strong, capable daughter. She’s not just a child anymore. She can make her own choices.”

The tension in the air was palpable, and (Y/N) could feel her heart racing. “Please, try to understand. I love Draco, and we want to do this together. We want your support, not your judgment.”

After a long, tense pause, her father finally spoke. “We need time to process this. It’s not what we envisioned for you, (Y/N).”

“Then take your time,” (Y/N) said, her voice steady despite the tears brimming in her eyes. “But I won’t let you dictate my life. I’m ready to take responsibility for my choices, no matter how difficult.”

With that, (Y/N) turned to Draco, and they walked away from the clearing, hand in hand. The weight of their family’s expectations hung heavily on her, but she felt a sense of liberation wash over her. They had faced the truth, and now it was time to embrace their future, regardless of what others thought.

As they reached the edge of the Forbidden Forest, (Y/N) turned to Draco, her heart pounding with uncertainty. “What do we do now?”

“We focus on us,” he replied, pulling her into an embrace. “We’ll figure everything out together. Just like we’ve always done.”

In that moment, (Y/N) realized that while their journey ahead would be filled with challenges, they were no longer alone. They had each other, and together they would carve out a path that was uniquely their own. No matter the obstacles they faced, their love would guide them through the darkness and into the light.
