Aaravi

└───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────┘

I sat in the recording room, wrapped in my oversized T shirt and pants, my legs tucked beneath me as I adjusted the headphones over my ears.

The playback of my music video flickered on the screen, and despite the upbeat tempo, my heart sank. Something felt off.
My eyes flickered on the screen, I furrowed my brows in disatification.

"What's bothering you? You seem.. off" he said as he gazed at me with those pretty hazel eyes I could drown in. He was dressed in a black T-shirt and grey sweatpants. This was the first time he'd been casual.

I leaned deep on the couch, "the music video.. it's not what I expected." I spoke. Dishant's glanced up from his phone, he looked at me confused. "What do you mean? What wrong?" He asked.

Just then, the door burst open, and Sheena rushed in, coffee in hand, looking as if she had just sprinted a marathon.

Her pink button-up blouse, the top buttons undone, contrasted sharply with her grey office jacket. Black trousers hugged her legs, and her high ponytail bobbed with every step. A few strands of hair stuck to her cheek, and for a moment, I couldn't help but smile at her flustered appearance.

"What the hell happened??" She panted, her eyes darting around the room, expecting chaos.

I gave her a sheepish smile, "calm down.."
I removed my headphones, "It's nothing serious, it's just that... I'm not satisfied with the music video." I spoke as her brows relaxed and she plopped next to me on the couch.

She let out a relieved sigh, her eyes narrowed at me with disbelief, "you called me for that??" She spoke.

I shrugged, "it's important, I want something.. unique, and different."

Her gaze softened, finally composed. " Alright, what do you want?"

Karan leaned forward, his brow furrowed in concentration. "Maybe we can start with the location. What's missing?"

I sighed, looking at the screen again, wishing it would magically transform into what I envisioned. "I dont know, the lyrics in this song are personal, raw, real. I want it to connect with the lyrics."

Dishant shifted in his chair, his interest piqued. "How about something exotic? A foreign city? Rain?"

Sheena shot him a glare but seemed to soften a bit. "We need something more authentic, something that reflects Aaravi's journey."

I nodded, "exactly. I want it to feel vulnerable."

Sheena paused, and then "Aaravi give me the lyrics." She spoke in full concentration.
I handed her the notepad next to my headphones, she read out the lyrics;

"Samundar ki lehero mein teri yaadien baasi hai"

Her eyes darted up at mine, "what about beach? Goa? The heat, passion, sadness screams 'heartbreak' which obviously, is this song's vibe." She spoke as she noted something in her notepad.

Karan nodded, "that's not a bad idea."

I smiled slightly, imagining the visuals. The heat of the sun against golden sands, waves crashing on the shore.

Dishant leaned forward, his eyes still on Sheena. "I can already see it. You on the beach, sand beneath your feet, wind in your hair. Passion, pain, all of it wrapped up in one frame."

Sheena glanced at him, raising a brow but didn't respond immediately. She focused back on her notepad, scribbling away. But Dishant wasn't about to let her ignore him.
