Happy Days

I woke up late again which was 11:51. I sat up but soon realized that I was in pain, I yelped. Someone must've heard because I Heard a knock. "C-come in." the door opened up to a sad looking Ponyboy.
"Hey Kenzie...I want you to know I'm sorry for what happened to you and what I said... well what I didn't say last night" pony said softly.
"Aw it's aight pone, you were just caught up in your book" I said. just then Darry busted In the door.
"mack, we have good news! But first we need to fix up those injuries" I just said okay and while he was fixing up the cuts he said, "so Mack the good news is that the doctors said Steve is going to be okay..." I cut him off by saying, " I'm stoked but when I saw him yesterday he looked terrible!" I Said not meaning to be a bum about it. "the docs gave him some treatment and since then he has been doing a lot better!" I screamed with excitement!!
"I'm going to see him right now! Anybody want to come?" I asked full of happiness. Everyone wanted to so we just decided that Darry should drive us there. Darry in the driver seat, soda in the passenger, pony and Johnny in the back seats and two-bit, dally and I sat in the bed of the truck. once we got out we all piled out and got in the Steve's room. Once I got in there I noticed the difference already in one day! This surely is a miracle! The doctor came in a few moments later saying that it will take a couple months for him to heal up.

***3 months later***
Steve is up and healthy! About a half month ago when he started walking again, Steve said he had an announcement to make. I wondered what it was. Just then he brought in a pretty girl. She had brown eyes, dark brown hair which was almost black and looked about 5'1. "who's this good lookin' broad?" Asked Dallas. "She's not for you and her name is Alexis" Steve said while playfully punching dal in the gut."eh. She's not my type anyways, man" Dallas shrugged. I was glad because I liked Dallas more then ever now and plus Alexis is truly beautiful! This had been going on for some time now actually. I wanted to date him but I knew I couldn't since he is known for a player, I just didn't want to get my heart broken. But then again it is
Dallas Winston! I tried to shake the thought away but he kept on appearing in my thoughts. I was falling for him, and hard!

**a week later**
It was April 18th today, Mine and Sodapop's birthday!! I am so excited for today even if we don't get anything. Since today was a special day for me, and soda, I curled my naturally straight brown hair, put on my favorite shirt which was a purple, blue and pink flannel with the sleeves cut off, a white tanktop under, dark blue jeans and light brown combat boots. For my makeup I put on light pink eyeshadow, a little bit of mascara to bring out my ice-blue eyes, and put on light pink lipstick. I was set for the day! Soda came out his door when I came out mine. he was wearing his usual outfits but looked nicer. we went downstairs together and the whole gang was there, even Alexis. Darry made everyone pancakes with toast and bacon. After breakfast we decided to just walk around town. after we walked around for a good hour or two, we stopped by the dingo to get lunch. we all got the same thing which was a burger, fries and a coke. since it was our birthdays we got chocolate cake although it wasn't nearly as good as Darry's. after the dingo, we went back home. When we got home Darry sat us on the couch. "why do we have to sit down dare?" I asked "we are doing presents" he said with a wide grin.
"Why, we never do this?" I asked again "I don't know this year is special" he said with his smile still plastered on his face. "okay" I smiled back. When the gang came back with our presents we started opening. From twobit I got an orange handled switchblade (my favorite color) with my name in fancy gold writing. from Steve I got a pair of new white converse shoes (which is what I've been wanting those for a long time. From dally I got a new, dark brown leather jacket. from Johnny I got a gold bracelet that read 'happy birthday Kenz' in black lettering. from Darry and pony I got a gold locket that had a picture of mom, dad, Darry, soda, me and pony. it brought tears to my eyes from the picture and how sweet it was. I even got a Present from Alexis! Even though we just met a month ago she still got me something for my birthday. how sweet! From her I got a brand new outfit which contained a white shirt that read 'stay gold' (Idek but yeah I'm using that lol ~admin) in Black lettering and a plain black skirt. I know what I'm wearing tomorrow that's for sure! I got up and higher and thanked everyone for an amazing birthday and so did Sodapop. while we were busy hugging, Darry got up and got the chocolate cake. they sang happy birthday to us and cut the cake. yep, this cake is WAY better than the dingo's cake. after that I took a shower and got into my pajamas. I went back downstairs and the gang slept over again including Alexis. we were just talking until we all fell asleep from a busy and fun day. dally slept next to me and I was mentally screaming! I fell asleep with a gigantic smile plastered on my face.
