Do you guys think things will spice up on this trip?🥰🥰

Soon, I left for the hotel. I checked in by 7:45. I had a relaxing shower, slept off without forgetting to set an early alarm. I woke up thanks to my persistent alarm. I hurried off with my shower, dressed up, and went down for breakfast. All I knew was that I would be meeting up with Mister Alex before 8 o'clock.

I took my luggage and left for Sydney Kingsford airport. When I got there, Mister Alex and his assistant were already there.

It was a nine hours and forty-seven minutes flight to China,

So we would be spending quite a lot of time on the plane. I wasn't surprised he had a private jet; he was, after all, rich.

Settling down on the jet, I unpacked a few things I needed, especially some books. Alex was dressed up professionally and he looked dashing, as usual. I took a few sneak glances at him; I couldn't help it. The man was breathtaking.

I was trying so hard to concentrate on my book, but his cologne was filling my nostrils, and everything about him was overly sensual to me. Thinking I needed to calm down, I stood up and went to the restroom, splashed some water on my face, and returned to my seat.

"If you need anything, Maria will get it for you," he said, nudging towards the flight attendant, who bowed.

"Thank you, sir," I said.

"Call me Alex, please, when we are alone. The 'sir' can be added in other professional conversations or meetings," he said.

"No problem, Alex."

Four hours into the flight, I felt tired already. Dropping the book at the corner, I tried stretching.

As if sensing my discomfort, he said, "There is a room just at the back; you can get some sleep. There is still at least five hours before we land."

"Thanks," I said, as I stood up.

Once I came into contact with the fluffy mattress and soft pillows, I couldn't help but fall asleep.

Next, I could hear someone tap me; fluttering my eyes open, I saw Alex with a food tray, placing it at the table.

"Inside the cubicle table . You won't have enough time to eat when we arrive. Sorry I woke you up, but I figured you had to eat. We would be landing in a few minutes."

Checking my phone, I couldn't believe I slept that long.

He stood waiting for me to get up. I stood up and couldn't help but stretch myself, forgetting he was around.

I walked to the table, picked up my spoon, and started eating.

"You can join me," I said.

"No, I had my lunch or dinner already," he replied.

"Come out when you are done," he said and left me alone.

Munching down my food, I drank the cold glass of orange juice as I felt rejuvenated. I couldn't believe I was that hungry.

Walking out with the food tray, Maria took it from me as I joined them.

Soon, our flight landed in Shanghai.

Some of our team were already there to receive us. I was so tired and dead lagged, but I couldn't leave, as we were surrounded by important executives and elites.

As if sensing my discomfort, Alex turned to them, saying, "Gentlemen, can we continue this conversation later? I have some other things to attend to urgently."

The executives nodded, and Alex led me out of the airport.

We stepped into the bustling city, surrounded by neon lights and towering skyscrapers. The energy was electric.

"Welcome to Shanghai," Alex said, smiling.

"Anna, would you like to stay at the hotel, or if not, I have a private house which should be more comfortable than a hotel, and of course, your privacy and safety are guaranteed," he said.

"Anything is good," I said, turning to the driver. He gave him the address, and the car moved swiftly into motion.

I sat down, staring out of the window. The view was beautiful and different from my usual environment. This was my first time traveling.

I had already sent a message to John, telling him that I had arrived safely in Shanghai.

Alex sat close to me. I hadn't looked at him since we entered the car. Was it how it felt to feel attracted to a man? Now that I had never been attracted to one before, but with him, it felt intense.

I knew I would be spending the next few days mostly with him, and I hoped I didn't blow off my cover by showing my emotions. I knew I liked him, but would he like me?

Deciding I needed to stop thinking about this, I played some music to calm my nerves.

A few minutes later, we arrived at one of the most exquisite houses I had ever seen. The structure was very different from what I was accustomed to in Australia - simple yet elegant.

As we stepped in, I saw more of the design; everything was so modernized and elegant.

"Anna," he said, "let me show you to your room."

I followed him closely as we came to one of the rooms. The design was girly but modest.

As the driver helped him with my luggage, thanking him, I turned to Alex. "Thanks for letting me stay here. It's really beautiful and humbling."

He smiled. "No problem, Anna. Get some rest and join me down for dinner if you are hungry."

I took my shower and called Charlotte. She picked up after a few rings.

"Hi, Bess. How was your trip?" she asked.

"Stressful but satisfying," I said, looking down at my toes. "I'm in Shanghai with Alex, staying at the same house, but our rooms are far separate."

"Calm down, Anna," I heard her say. "You have feelings for him, right?"

"I don't know, Charlotte. Even if I do, this was not part of my plan. I have to round up this project in a mean time. There is no harm in liking someone. Besides, you really haven't told me much about what's going on between you and your father. I do not want to intervene much, and I always want you to feel comfortable telling me things. But this man, getting close to him, would he... would it be a better option for you? There is no harm in liking someone. What matters is whether he feels the same way towards you."

"How's your boyfriend?" I asked, trying to shift the conversation towards her.

"We are cool," she said, sighing. "Have you prepared any dress for your mom's birthday?"

"No," I said. "I'll handle it. Just sort out the business and your feelings during this trip. Remember, if nothing happens now, just take it as a sign it was never meant to be serious to begin with, okay?"

"Miss love adviser, bye," I said, hanging up.

Tomorrow was a free day, and the next was the day of the meeting with the board directors, which meant I had tomorrow all to myself.
