They dropped their bags at the door as they entered. Todd looked around at the huge hallway, surprised at the size of it, it seemed so out of proportion with the front of the house. It must be bigger than it seems, Todd thought.

"The Alpha will want to meet you, and probably want to talk to you all too," said Jack leading the way as walked past them down the hall, "ill let him know your here", he called as he disappeared round the corner. Todd looked at Elle who shrugged, shaking her head. Keane huffed, throwing her bag down in the corner. Denik gave her a nudge, before throwing his own bag in the corner beside Keane's. Keane gave him a stern look before shaking her head.

"Come on, we'll meet him in the living room," said Denik, brushing past Keane, Keane sighed shaking her head slightly looking a bit defeated, and followed reluctantly. Todd wondered what could have Keane so down, she didn't seem to want to be here at all. Elle, Todd, and Jaden followed with Eli taking up the rear of the group, they all headed towards the living room.

Once they all followed Denik in to the living room, Elle gasped as they all took in the large luxurious living room, the sofa a huge rich cream affair with big plush cushions, with  large arches at one end of the room which showed a large cast iron banister to a staircase leading upstairs somewhere. The large chandelier glittered romantically as it cast a opalescent shimmer on the large mirror  that hung above the huge fireplace that roared and crackled with hot flames that danced in the grate. The huge faux fur cream rug lay in front of the fire. The dark walnut coffee tables and side tables, contrasted against the creams and light golds of the room perfectly, as they shone to a high polish.

"Wow, the Alpha has a crazy interior designer!" gushed Elle walking into the living room, as she took in the chandelier, running her fingers across the sofa's plush cushions, fiddling with the tassels.

"Don't get too comfy, we wont be here too long" huffed Keane, glaring at the room she stepped into.

"Oh! Now Keane, you know you all can stay as long as you want" chastised a gruff voice from the stairs, causing them all to turn and look towards the voice. Todd took in a tall, thick set man, in his 50's,dressed in light trousers with grey loafers and a white polo shirt to match, the whole assemble gave him a casual look but Todd noticed he held himself with an air of authority.

"No, we wont, you can sort out another base for us to work from," Keane all but growled, turning to face the man at the bottom of the stairs. Todd looked toward Jaden and Eli, who shrugged their shoulders, looking confused.

"Well, i will need time to speak to Todd, and the rest of you so you will stay overnight at least," said the Alpha, Todd picked up the tone of authority the Alpha used, but had a suspicion he was missing something as Keane visibly winced, even the rest of the group seemed to stand up straighter.

"Ugh!! Fine!" huffed Keane, putting her hands on her hips, facing the Alpha.

"Denik, help Keane take the bags upstairs, Elle, Jaden and Eli can make themselves at home while Todd and i have a chat", said the Alpha, offering his hand in welcome to Todd. Todd shook his hand, and shook, noticing the firm but gentle handshake of the smiling older man, the handshake again emphasised the authority of the older man, leaving Todd without a doubt, this was a man of very high if not the highest authority.

"Im Alvis, Alpha of the eastern dawn pack", smiled the man, Todd took the mans hand, feeling more confident and at ease, Todd had the feeling this was a fair man, but could make a formidable enemy if crossed. "come with me to my office, and you can tell me everything from the past few days" said Alvis, "then we can get you settled in, I'm sure you've had a busy few days" Alvis chuckled.
