"nobody loves me jungie, everybody in school says I'm not a good girl. Everyone has two parents except me, only dada comes to school everytime. Appa left me because I wasn't being a good girl. You also think I'm a bad girl?" An innocent little Ahyeon cries to her elder brother.
"No baby there's nothing like what you think. You are the best little girl. My little Ahyeonie I love you so so soooo much." The elder brother who himself isn't that old, tries to comfort her sister.
"You know dada and I love you the most. And appa loved you a lot too." He says in a baby voice to make sister understand.
The little girl has now stopped crying but still has a big pout on her tiny face. Her eyes still a little watery and nose and cheeks pink. She lifts up her face to her brother and the elder wipes off the remaining tears and pushes her hair to sides away from her eyes.
"Now will my little cupcake smile for me? I have a surprise for you." A little something he does to make her sister happy everytime.
"Close your eyes and at the count of three you open them, ok?"
The little girls eyes light up with the brightest smile and closes her eyes tightly.
With the curiosity that fills within her she sneakily tries to open her eyes from the corner in attempt to see what her brother has for her. Of course the elder notices, his lips form into a thin line to stop himself from smiling finding the youngers antics adorable.
"You aren't trying to open your eyes, are you?" He teases her. "I hope you aren't cheating, you cheaky little monkey".
Giggles are heard from the younger as she now covers her eyes with her little hands. Her small fingers leaving gaps in between to look from between them."I'm waiting Jungie hurry up. My fingers hurt now." A sassy reply comes from her.
"Oh really? You stop cheating and I'll give it to you the next moment." He stretches out his hand in front of her sister.
"Now open them." Without wasting a second her eyes open wide and sees a flat rectangular thing wrapped in paper with some cartoons on it and a ribbon that ties on the top.
Not caring about the effort the elder had put into wrapping it up she tears it open. "My favorite chocolate, yaaaayyyy." She throws herself into her brothers arms immediately and the elder tightening his arms around her small frame, kissing her cheeks and patting her head lovingly with the free arm.
She tosses the paper away and the elder chuckles at that rolling his eyes remembering how he had to watch a tutorial in order to learn how to wrap something. It's was just a little chocolate that he could have given as it is but the look of happiness that he sees on her sisters face knowing it's a gift was worth all the effort.
The little girl eats her chocolate in the typical baby way making a mess on her face and fingers stained with chocolate. She even offers it to her brother holding it out in front of the elders face. He just breaks a piece and holds it out in front of her lips and when she opens her mouth he takes it back and eats it. Both of them laugh at it.
These little moments are the ones you love to cherish with your dear ones. It only deepens the love and strengthens a bond, here it's the siblings bond that is to remain for a lifetime. If you have a strong relationship built with trust and respect then no power can weaken it.
Watching the two siblings standing on the doorstep leaning against the frame, arms folded on his chest and a fond smile on his face he watches them with pride but a with a little ache in his heart. His kids were happy but their family was incomplete. And with that thought a tear escapes his eyes. He sniffs his nose to stop himself from crying and wipes the tear. He quietly closes the door behind him and leaves to his room.
