its been for hours they've been attacking and parrying eachother, they just stop randomly in the middle of it

Lumine-"You know, i have a family back home, can we stop it here?"

the sentient just stares at him, then walks back to where it came from

As the shadow spirit walked back home, something felt uneasy, as it always been so heavy?

Space was standing by the door

Lumine walked up to Space

Lumine-"I see...how you deviated death so many times..."

-Quite a time ago,-

Space had become an anchor point for something truly evil, wicked in a sense, the reason is because space's beloved, Aika went missing from the world mysteriously, its like, all traces but memories of him stood in place, Space would wait for years, thinking, that he'd return, trying to hold out the sole hope that he'd come back somehow, but he never did, never returned from where he disappeared. Instead, someone else got to him first, an exact duplicate, like 2 drops of water, with only difference, the replicated one was the portrait of malice, pure of it, it offered Space a choice, a way to finally reunite the two, for good, forever, time was running out. And space's will was too. so he shook the others hand and space was supposedly, granted his wish... but at the cost of losing his life, enduring pain constantly, and with each wound, each death, the wall between dust and void would slowly crumble, till now.

The malicious man had never granted the true wish, only a part

Lumine then appeared.

Different

and now yet again, he's standing here
different.

Lumine-"Oh...i...had forgotten..."

Lumine's shadow form dissipated, his eyes turning the familiar green he always had before

Lumine shakingly held space's hands, tears running down his cheeks

Lumine-"i...i forgot...i never meant to leave you..." he said, pulling space's hands toward his chest "I spent so...so long in the city, i had completly forgotten...about you, but back then, i wished and begged this world to return me home, until i had to do everything my own, i had forgotten my true wish, it was for you i wanted to come back home, i never wanted to go, im truly sorry .."

Space was...shockingly still

its like a locked door of suffering had been opened infront of him

He remembers how clingy Lumine is, how he would never go anywhere without Space, this sadness lumine displays is unusual, but brings back the past, lumine always bottled up everything, when he was forced to vent, streams of tears like this one, the same position, hands to the chest

its always to say "im sorry, i didn't mean that, please"

if he did a mistake, an accident, even the smallest like breaking a plate...

but yet, he was always here
