Yesterday didn't go well. Although you wanted to do your best for him and for yourself. You just couldn't break off that feeling you held tightly.

-

The morning after, you had once again woken up around twilight hour, just before the sun fully came out.

The necklace wrapped gently around your brotners tiny neck, his eyes droopy as he had just woken up from his sleep. His innocence bestowed upon the new world. He was given the name, 'Nayen.'

When you and Neteyam returned yesterday, you noticed that your mother greeted him with a reserved smile. There was a hint of uncertainty in her expression, making it difficult to tell her true feelings towards him and his family. After their help during the birth of your younger sibling. She hadn't made any negative remarks, but at the same time, she hadn't voiced any positive ones either.

While sitting by your younger brother, you didn't want to disrupt his peace or disturb the tranquility that surrounded him. There was a certain solace in the stillness, in the unspoken bond shared between siblings.

And as your usual routine before the injury, you wanted to go out for a swim. You could see the sun slowly rising and the water still. So you figured you'd push yourself to go.

You stood from your spot, taking very quiet steps to leave your marui. You had to be very careful, especially now that there was a newborn.

You rubbed your eyes as you walked towards the sandy area, as always there was some members already starting their day. The waves splashed gently on the shore, the wet and cool sand partially waking you up. You settled down, facing towards the water and huffing lightly as you began to walk deeper in.
Much like you expected, it was cold yet welcoming, at least for a little while. You made it waist deep again, and suddenly looked down at legs, they looked distorted from above the surface because of the waves. You held your abdomen, feeling for the scar from the gunshot.

No. You couldn't do it, not today. You'll try again later.

You took a deep breath, exhaling heavily as you finalized your thoughts and began to slowly turn, the least you could do is enjoy the water for a little while.

You heard small splashes and turned to the direction it came from.

Tsireya walked further in, she had a warming smile as always yet there was some concern within it.

"I know you come out here early to be in the water," She took the hand you held out to her.

You nod, still slowly moving out. She held your shoulders and stopped you from continuing.

"It is okay, Y/N." Tsireya quietly told you. "Please answer me something," She continued her words, her worried yet kind expression grew as she slowly rubbed your shoulders.

"Honestly, okay?"

You nod your head, "Okay."

"Are you scared?"

Your shoulders tensed up, your ears jolt to the question. You bit the inside of your cheek, eyebrows furrowed.

"Scared?" You replied, your voice laced with a mix of curiosity and apprehension.

Tsireya's gentle touch on your shoulders provided a momentary comfort, her hands moved down your arms and finally rested upon your own.
"Are you remembering?"

You swallowed your anticipation, your eyes roaming her features as you weren't sure what to say.

She took a breath and sighed, she knew you would respond eventually and that it wouldn't be easy. Yet it still got to her somehow, her face was full of pure worry. For some reason you dislike this feeling of vulnerability, even if she was your own sister.
