Isagi was usually pretty good with directions, but today was just not his day...

He entered this forest after being forced by Bachira and Hiori to bring back some evidence of this large half-man, half-snake creature. He slowly walked forward with a flashlight in hand as the night was approaching. Both Bachira and Hiori followed behind him.

"I can't believe you two got me roped up in this!" Isagi complained as the other two men pulled out their own flashlight.

"It's a naga! We have to bring back one of its large scales or even their hair! Something!" Bachira got excited over the thought of whatever evidence they could find. The younger man kept his eyes peeled around them for any glimpse of a large snake-like being.

"Are you sure we should be doing this at night rather than the morning?" Hiori nervously looked around.

"Of course, the only times people have said they spotted it was during the night," Bachira said.

"I think this is a really bad idea anyways. Naga aside, we could run into some crazy person trying to attack us," Isagi complained again. Isagi recounted the amount of times he saw people trying to explore abandoned places or forests at night and the videos contained people being chased by squatters or crazy violent people. The thought alone made him want to go home, but when he turned around to look back, the way they came was already appearing the same as the other trees and bushes they saw.

He bumped into Hiori's back and turned back to face the front.

"What happened?" Isagi asked. He peeked to look at the front and saw the fog was surrounding the entire forest around them.

"It's getting really foggy," Hiori gulped.

"I can't see anything even with the flashlights!" Bachira waves his flashlight around.

Isagi put out his arm in front of him to see how far he could see past the fog.

"I can't even see past my arms!" Isagi widened his eyes.

"We should turn back," Hiori said and Isagi agreed. Though Bachira wasn't too fond of the idea, it wouldn't be fun to search alone.

The three of them began walking back from where they came. Isagi was leading this time since they only went in a straight line ahead.

Hiori reached into his pocket for his phone and checked the time.

21:37 (9:37 pm)

"I'm getting hungry," he said.

"Same..." Isagi muttered. Once he gets home, he'll be craving something meaty for dinner.

Sighing, Isagi looked back and noticed that Bachira was missing. It was no wonder it was so quiet. It was just the two of them and they began to panic. Hopefully, they didn't stray too far away if Bachira stopped walking.

"Should we go back or should we stop and wait?" Hiori asked. The cyan-haired man looked around them and didn't recognize where they were. Every tree looked the same: tall and green. Although he's seen many forests with creepy atmospheres in games, it's not the same experience in real life. A drop of sweat rolled down Hiroi's face.

He decided it was best to try to call Bachira and the ringing of a phone can be heard to his right. The two of them look in that direction simultaneously.

"Bachira!" Isagi called out. It was definitely his ringtone. The two looked at each other and had a bad feeling about this...

They nodded in agreement without words that the two of them will walk towards it together, but also keeping in mind the direction of where they left off when leaving. They approached the ringing noise and found Bachira's phone on the forest ground, face down.
