Life quickly returned to its usual whirlwind pace, with the filming of The Secret of Us and endorsement deals filling every moment.

The days blurred together, and exhaustion became a constant companion. I found myself falling asleep on set so often that it turned into a running joke with the crew.

When Mom was on set for her scenes, she'd usually look after me, making sure I got enough rest. But on the days she wasn't around, Lingling stepped in without hesitation, her protective nature shining through. She'd bring me extra food and made sure I nap in-between takes, always attentive.

"You need to eat," she'd insist, handing me a container of something she'd brought from home. Her voice was gentle but firm, the kind you couldn't argue with.

Today was no different. After my tenth yawn, she looked at me with concern, her brow furrowed.

"What time did you even go to sleep?" she asked, her voice soft yet filled with a hint of worry.

"I dunno," I mumbled, barely able to keep my eyes open. My body felt heavy with exhaustion.

We stood together behind the camera, watching as Director Nay replayed the latest scene, her sharp eyes analyzing every frame. A nod of approval, followed by a small smile before she called out for the crew to set up the next shot.

Before I could even process the moment, Lingling took my hand, her fingers warm and steady against mine. She didn't say a word, just led me to my chair like it was the most natural thing in the world.

"Take a nap," she whispered, wrapping my blanket over me like she'd done it a thousand times before. "It'll take a while for them to set up the next scene. I'll wake you when you're needed."

I looked at her, my eyelids heavy, but there was something comforting about her presence. I nodded, too tired to resist, and leaned back in the chair.

She knelt beside me, her hand resting gently on my arm, and I could feel her steadying presence even as sleep started to claim me.
