First Lady

Chapter 4

Kamala told me she would meet me behind the club. For whatever reason she didn't want us driving here together. Probably a security protocol.

I had to keep reminding myself that I didn't know she was the future president and that I was completely oblivious to the situation. I seriously don't know what I would do without Amber.

I see a black SUV drive up the alley way and I quickly raise my phone to my face and pretend I didn't see her pulling up. The pebbles kick up under the tires as the car gets closer and halts to a complete stop. It takes everything in me to not look up and watch the situation unfold. Hearing multiple doors slam and multiple feet move around the car. They were securing the place.

I don't blame them, who the hell tells the president to meet them in a sketchy alleyway behind a popular night club. Suddenly I hear another door slam followed by an "all clear" being spoken in a low voice.
She waited until the car pulled off to approach me. "Cassie? You look amazing" Kamala says as I finally put my phone down to look at her. I was speechless looking at her. She looks beautiful. Her hair was wavy and flowing softly in the breeze and she wore a black very modest dress. If I didn't know about her situation I would have questioned the look but this was probably the most scandalous dress she could wear. It was satin with ruffles coming off the neckline and meeting a "V" point to her chest. Two rows of pearls sat on her neck subtly catching the light with earrings to match.

The dress stuck to her body like a second skin and I desperately wanted to say screw this place so I can take her home and pull it off of her.

"You look incredible" I mumble. I took her hand and made her spin for me, giving me a 360 view of her perfectly sculpted body. "Thank you dear" she smiled widely and kept her hand in mine.
"Shall we" I said, opening the door for her. Never letting go of my hand she walked in front of me and stood in the hallway. I led her up a flight of stairs and the music became louder with each step. "Donk" by Beyonce was playing.

Once we hit a fancy red door I opened it and peeked my head through it to see if anyone was there. Amber's dad was amazing for letting us have V.I.P to ourselves.

"Come on" I said, opening the door wider to reveal the amazing balcony view of the club. Kamala looked around nervously then softened her expression once she saw the area was all for us.
"You can sit here while I go find Amber" I told her as I led her to a big red couch that lined the entire wall. She sat down and immediately crossed her legs and clasped her hands together in her lap. I couldn't help but giggle. "What?" She said looking at me with a serious face.

"You're so proper, loosen up mama" I grabbed her chin and gave her a long deep kiss and that did the trick. Her legs uncrossed now slightly parted, her hands on either side of her as she dug her nails into the sofa trying desperately hard to not touch me. I pulled away from her and she bit her lip, trying to follow me for another kiss. "Be patient." I said, winking at her.

Walking over to the balcony, I lean over slightly trying to search for my best friend in the crowd. I might as well try to find Waldo while I was at it because the club was completely packed with people grinding and dancing on each other. It didn't help that the lights were slightly dimmed with flashing lights occasionally...and was that seriously a man wearing a red and white striped sweater...weirdo.

"Who are we looking for?" I heard a familiar voice say from behind me. I turned around to see the one and only Amber Powell. I gave her a big hug and she immediately pushed me away. "Oh my god...you hugged me? Do you have a fever?" She said sarcastically before pulling me back in. "Thank you for clearing out the V.I.P section for us" I said in her ear before pulling away.
"You owe me big time, I had to convince daddy to do this for you."
