The faint sounds of dog barking and semi loud music playing could be heard in the mostly empty streets
11 year old Kushimi walks down the dimly lit sidewalk with her hands in her red coat pocket shoulders up to her ears trying to find anyway to stay warm in the outrageous cold wind.
Where was she going?
Well to find her older brother who wasn't answering his phone and she was responsible for locking down the house at night because her always high parents weren't gonna do it.
It was only one place he could really be and thats on the block by this run down house him and his friend hang out at
"Nigga allways wanna do stupid shit..fuck nigga not even answering his trap phone"Kushimi muttered to herself as she approaches the corner she has to turn to get to the house,she turns the corner and jumps a bit seeing a tall man standing there who she recognized but he didn't live in the neighborhood
"You Kush lil sister right?"Tarvin or well Vin asked looking at the little girl recognizing her to be Shimi but he wanted to be sure
"Who is asking-"Shimi asked looking up at the man responding with her terrible attitude that pissed everybody off
"Me..the fuck wrong whichu lil girl"Vin responded back returning the same energy before clearing his throat not wanting to look crazy arguing with a elementary school kid
"Why do you need to know if im related to Kush excuse me please"
"We need you tell him we looking for his ass on Oak Street,Big Man wanna see him"
"No"Shimi responded back being very serious with that,the only time she'd go see Big Man is for weed for her mama anyway. Obviously Kush wasn't going on that side of town since he was the real problem
In a swift moment gunshots rang out causing Kushimi to start screaming in fear as the Vin falls over face first onto the pavement, a loud thud being heard since he hit his head pretty hard
"What the fuck you doing out here?!?"15 year old,Kush asked lowering the gun down seeing his sister on the other side of the man he just shot
"I came to look for you cause I wanted to know if you was coming home,I have to lock up the house"Kushimi argued looking over at Kush in his eyes seeing the sheer terror all over his face
"What did he want"Kush asked now breathing heavily wishing he had thought this through before shooting
"To tell that Big Man on Oak Street looking for you,it might've been a set up though ion know"
"Tay"Kush called for his friend,Tay walks over noticing the body and shakes his head
"On it"Tay ran back to the trap house to go call somebody to come collect the person on the ground
"Look i-imma take you back home..ok im not gonna be home tonight"Kush told her but at this point Kushimi didn't even want him to
"Kush you've been gon for two weeks.."Shimi argued folding her arms annoyed at her big brothers antics
"I know im sorry its just-Don't even,I'll walk home myself goodnight.."Shimi cut him off slowly turning on her heels to head back down the street to go home
