They walked hand in hand, the alcohol making their steps clumsy, but there was an undeniable tenderness in the way they supported each other.

As they made their way through the back alley of the pub, the soft sound of rain began to fall.

Shubman glanced up as the raindrops began to pepper his skin. "Great. Now it's raining," he muttered, moving toward a nearby tree to take shelter.

He wasn't in the mood to get drenched, all he wanted was hold on to the adrenaline rush of them together.

But Ishan, in contrast, stood in the middle of the open space, his arms spread wide, welcoming the rain with a soft smile.

His head tilted back as the raindrops hit his face, and a soft laugh escaped his lips as he embraced the downpour.

"Come on, Shubman! It's just water!" he called out, his voice filled with a carefree joy that seemed to come alive with the rain.

Shubman's eyes softened as he looked at Ishan, seeing the carefree joy on his face, the way he embraced the rain without a second thought.

He smiled seeing the adoring carefree smile, all he could hear was a melodious tune of Ishan's laughter and a reverberating with faint rythm of dazzling rain fading in background.

There was something attrative— like a magnetic pull, about Ishan that Shubman couldn't ignore.

Ishan turned, his wet hair plastered to his forehead, droplets sliding down his face, and a mischievous grin spread across his lips.

He reached out, grabbing Shubman's arm and pulling him out from under the tree.

Shubman let himself be dragged, completely in daze like a love sick puppy, with a stupid smile on his face that stretched a mile wide—— just so whipped up.

Ishan was spinning him around, both of them now drenched in the rain. Ishan laughed, the sound carefree and so heartwarmingly infectious, as he twirled Shubman around in a circle.

Shubman couldn't help but chuckle softly due to exhilarating new experience, the cold rain mixing with the warmth of Ishan's touch making his heart race in a different way.

Shubman laughter mingling with Ishan's as the rain soaked through their clothes, making their hair stick to their foreheads, the droplets dripping down their faces and bodies.

The world around them seemed to melt away as the rain fell harder, but neither of them cared.

Ishan said, his voice softer now, his eyes locked on Shubman's, "You know Shubh, the best part of rain is... it... doesn’t judge, they shower their mercy on every being equally"

Shubman could feel a slight tremor in Ishan's word, there was something—— something vulnerable, something that was so connecting—— he could feel the remnants of pain, a dulling ache in Ishan's eyes behind his smile was hurting him too..

He wanted to take all his pain away, and leave behind his own pain and the baggage of— of everything... The urge to protect him over whelmed him making him differntly numb.

Shubman softly cupped Ishan's face... tenderly in his palm, and leaned down and pecked his forehead.

Ishan closed his eyes melting into the touch, when his gaze fell on Shubman's, he could see—— a genuineness..

and then.. the Sky rumblled...

Ishan's soft gaze lingering on Shubman's gaze, the air between them shifting once again, charged with something deeper.
