PROLOGUE

St. Marie's College had once been a prestigious institution, known not just for its academic excellence but also for its thriving sports programs.

Located in the heart of the city, the college boasted large campuses for both commerce and science students, each with their own dedicated buildings, faculty, and extracurricular activities. The sports clubs, in particular, had become a point of pride, with separate cricket, football, basketball, and tennis teams representing both departments.

The rivalry between the commerce and science departments extended far beyond academics. It was most visible in sports, especially cricket, where both departments fielded their own teams and competed fiercely for college glory.

The science department had long prided itself on a methodical, strategic approach to the game, led by Shubman, their thoughtful and disciplined captain.

The commerce department, on the other hand, was known for its aggressive, instinct-driven gameplay, led by Ishan, a natural athlete with a fiery personality.

However, times were changing. The global economy had hit a rough patch, and the recession had taken its toll on St. Marie’s College. Budgets were cut, programs were scaled down, and soon, the administration made a decision that shook the students. The commerce and science departments would be merged into one, to save costs. Along with this, all sports clubs were united, meaning that there would be just one cricket team for the entire college.

If team is resolved into one, so the captaincy too, obvious to the fact that there could be only one captain, "No Kingdom is ever ruled by two Kings". But the question was who would be the ONE?

this resulted only into a unresolved war between the two ALPHAS ~ neither ready to back down or take a step back.
