School was a drag, like always.
Sluts being sluts. Jocks being jerks.
And well me being the clumsy retard I am. Flippin fell on my face on my way to lunch in front of flippin Joey. Which gathered his attention, but the only reason why I was happy was because he looked at me. He never looked at me!

"Sup little sis." My brother, Tyler, bumped into me as I just got home.
I ignore him and make my way to the kitchen, where the yells of hell come from.
"John, you aren't leaving me, not now, not ever!" my mother screamed as I entered.
They had been fighting for about a month: because of money, it's always about money, when it comes to them.
"I don't care what you think!" he swore back.
Their mouths closed as soon as they see me grabbing an apple.
"I have ears, ya know," I laugh back, tired of how they try to hide it.
"Oh-ah, dear, um, don't you have that concert thingy?" my mother asks, rolling her eyes.
"Yes," I mutter, showing off my middle finger to her wrinkled face.
"Summer Valerie Decker, you take that back!" she yells in my face.
I replace my straight face with smirk and make my way to my room. As you can see, I have a terrible relationship with my mother.
Once I'm in my room, I get ready for the battle of the bands at Jeff's Place. Throwing my black cut off on with some ripped, skin-tight skinny jeans and my red Vans, I brush my hair and put some light makeup on.
In the family, I'm considered the "bad girl" because of my illegal tattoos and my piercing. People are really stereotypical. These days you can't even walk outside without getting the "freak" glare.
"Bye!" I shout as I reach the door with keys and my bass case in my hand.
"Wait...Sis, I'm coming!" my other brother, Max, yelped, falling down the stairs struggling to get his shoes on, making my weird laugh appear.
I hated my laugh. Mina and Bailey always made fun of it. They said I sounded like my mom. But I now call it mine, because there's no such thing called laughing in her vocabulary.
"There's that laugh I love," Max says as we jump into my Jeep, turning the music on full blast.
"So...How was school?" he asks raising an eyebrow.
"Made a freak of myself in front of my crush," I groan, pulling into the small bar.
We hop out and Max carries my case.
After telling Max to meet me inside, I go and have a quick drag with Bailey.
After finishing and heading inside the building and walk over to where we are set up. I pull out my microphone stand down to where my bass would be, then setting up by slinging the bass over me and playing a couple chords.
"Hey, where's Will?" I ask Bailey who is testing the microphone.
"Oh...Late as usual. And Mina forgot her drum sticks in the car, so don't freak," she says pushing my arm.
"This will be the first time I play in front of my brother," I said.
"It's gonna be fine," Bailey reassures me as we sit at the bar, waiting for 4 Jokes to play. Mostly because their drummer is like hot.
"Water, please," I choke out to the bartender.
He nods, sliding us two glasses of water.
After 4 Jokes were done playing, one more band came up before us.
"Hey guys, we're 5 Seconds of Summer and we're new here...Hope you like us," some voice says, grabbing my attention.
It all goes downhill from there. They are playing...
American Idiot.
My mouth drops open and my eyes flicker over to Bailey and see her jaw clenched. They were good, too. Too good. The crowd sure thought that.
"God how are we going to beat that?" Will asks.
I turn to see that both Will and Mina are here.
"They suck," is all I could say, making Will raise a brow at me.
"Holy shit...Damn, Max looks hot today," Will bites his lip, changing the subject.
"Shut up, asshole. What song are we going to play, Bailey?" I asked her.
"Uh..."
