It's been a couple weeks since the incident and I was officially a part of the Avengers. Peter and I got closer. I didn't have powers but I mainly used weapons. The dreams got more vivid but I wasn't about my past or present. I always kept a knife next to my bed just in case. I admit I was very paranoid after the hydra stuff. I hated that word if we had a mission that had anything to do with hydra I would skip it or make up an excuse to not go. Everyday I would train with Nat and practiced fighting I was prepared for the worst. Other than that I can't complain. I eventually started school and I got pretty good grades though my teachers didn't really like me probably my scars I had they probably thought I was in a fight or something. If they asked about it I wouldn't talk about them. Peter is the one person I feel comfortable talking about it with. One night I was training with Nat. "Alright Val I'm gonna go to bed." She said."I'm gonna stay a little bit longer." I said. "Ok just remember to turn off the lights when you're done." Nat said. I nodded. I started punching a punching bag. I heard a noise ,thinking it was just my paranoia I kept punching. I heard it again. I walked around trying to find who made the noise." Come out and face me you coward." I yelled. Then a figure stepped out of the shadows. My eye widened in fear. It was the hydra agent. I punched him in the jaw and began to run to Peter's room. Then he grabbed me and I woke up." Are you okay?" Steve said from behind me. I was breathing heavily like my life depended on it. Steve put his hand on my back. Then Peter came in and ran to me. He knelt down in front of me and looked me in the eye and said "Just breathe it's going to be okay I'm right here. Just look at me" He said. I looked him in the eye and calmed down. "Thank you Peter." I said as he pulled me into a hug. "Was it another nightmare?" Peter asked. "Yeah he was in it." I said. "Who?" Steve asked. "Him" I said as I looked at him. He then realized who I was talking about. "Hydra." Steve said. I nodded.
