Kaede Akamatsu was a regular teenage girl, she had a great talent in mastering the piano, she was extroverted, way too extroverted if you asked her peers and family. She knew those things about herself, but there was one thing she never got any information on. She was autistic. How come didn't she know? Kaede was diagnosed in her early childhood, everyone in her family knew, even her twin sister. It remained a secret for Kaede in order to keep her "safe".

Kaede always knew she acted and reacted somewhat different than the others, as she grew, she began doubting it even more.

It was autumn, school had already started. Kaede was in class, her last period class, a boring calculus class to be specific. Something was deeply irritating Kaede, the clock's ticking sounds, the chatter in the back of the class, the flickering lights, they all made Kaede feel...overstimulated. She started heavily breathing and looking down, looking as if she had a panic attack. Everyone's gaze turned to look at her.

"Are you alright?"

The teacher asked. Kaede gulped mid-panting. She didn't even hear the question the first few times. She finally snapped out of it when a classmate got closer to her.

"Y-yeah, sorry...I'm fine! Just probably tired!"

"Are you sure you're feeling alright? You didn't seem too well."

"Yes sir."

"Alright then."

The teacher went back to teaching, Kaede was wondering what even happened. She felt like a total idiot. She kept trying to distract herself from the things that made her react that way. As each minute passed, she was trying harder and harder to distract herself.

Luckily enough, the class finished shortly after. As Kaede was packing her things, Shuichi, who had the same period as her, approached her.

"Hey, I'm sorry if I'm invasive, but are you ok?"

"Don't worry about it! I'm fine, I have no idea what's gotten into me!"

"But you seemed really-"

"Don't worry about it! Please! I'm totally fine!"

"If you say so..."

Kaede went back to packing as she finished her conversation with Shuichi. She walked the way back home. Her only thoughts were about what's gotten into her. Why was she acting like that? Kaede thought she was overreacting and probably really tired since she barely slept the night prior too. The thoughts wouldn't seem to leave her alone. Even as she entered her house, her thoughts were just intrusive. Bugging her about why she acted like that. She tried distracting herself to leave them aside and started re-arranging some things.
