Web Runner had some time to prepare before he went into his own head, they wanted those men out as soon as possible, but if Web Runner wasn't ready to do it, the mission would be useless anyways. He dedicated it mostly to sleeping, trying to regain control of his dreams and get a grasp on what was reality and what was imaginary. Web Runner had been having issues with hallucinations and other brain activity. He couldn't tell sometimes if these were real or in his head. He found himself contemplating where he was sitting alone in an empty room, he didn't know, something was messing with his head. Then, out of nowhere Cloak appeared right in front of his face, and Web Runner passed out on the ground. When he woke up, he was in a completely white room, every single thing was white, and the room had hidden lights that were blindingly bright. He was hearing weird noise, like a machine running, it was getting increasingly louder. He started to go insane, he started itching and yelling, looking for a way out, but there wasn't a way out. He decided his last option was to break the walls, he punched one over and over again, and it shattered on the floor. A mirror wall on all four sides of the room. Nothing was behind it, just an empty void. He looked down at the mirror fragments on the floor, but this time he knew he wasn't insane when he saw somebody else staring in the mirror, it was clear as day. When he tried to touch the mirror, he passed out again, this time waking up back in the empty room from before. It was all a dream, Web Runner thought it was real. Something was different this time around though, his head wasn't hurting, he wasn't dizzy, his body felt normal again. "Was that really Cloak in my room? What did he do to me? Whatever it was it damn sure worked!" Web Runner said to himself. "Whooooo! I feel amazing!" Web Runner exclaimed. Then the thoughts rolled in, was what he was experiencing real, or in his head? That's when Jimmy Carloso called asking Web Runner if he was ready. "I'll be right there." Web Runner responded over the phone. It was time to see if he could really tell from reality and imagined. He needed some way to know that he wasn't dreaming. He decided to develop a device that would light up red if it sensed his body was in a sleep state, and green if it was in an awake state. After that, it was time to pull off a search and rescue in his own mind.
