My college love

Chapter 4

I mentally sighed as we pulled into the bowling alleys parking lot. The whole ride over I was forced to listen to Coles awful jokes followed by Megan's giggles. I climb out of the car and rolled my eyes as I caught a glimpse of her blushing as he walked to stand at her side.

" Ryder is in here. He already got us a lane" Cole said as we started walking in. " I think you will like him Addison, you guys are a lot alike." I scoffed quietly, how does he know what I'm like? I ran into him said a few things then he went on with his day and I went on with mine.

" Great" I forced myself to sound cheery. As we walked in I was blown over by the smell of sweat and candy. Wow did that remind me of my middle school years. I chuckle to myself.

" Oh there he is!" Cole said as he made his way over to the brown hair brown eyed angel sitting at a table. I stopped and stared. Before forcing myself to move. He stood once he saw us and didn't bother to straighten out his leather jacket. I mentally groaned when I got a full shot of his body. His dark blue jeans hugged him in all the right places. And when he stretched his arms up above his head his white t-shirt rose just enough for me to catch a glimpse of the abs he was hiding underneath.

"This is Addison" Cole said as he gestured to me. " Addison this is Ryder" I just smiled and held out my hand for him to shake.

" Nice to meet you" I said politely as I stared at his hair that seemed to just stick out in all the right places.

" Yeah I'm Ryder" he said quickly as he sat back down. " Let's get this game started." He growled rather than said.

" Ok! Let's have me and Megan on a team and Addison and Ryder!" Cole say happily. I just rolled my eyes, of course that would be the teams.

" I'm ready to win!" Megan said excitedly as she clasped her hands in front of her. " You're going down Addison" she smirked at me.

I was taken back by her sudden change in mood. " Oh I don't think so. Just wait" I winked at her as I walked over towards Ryder.

" I'm going to get shoes, what size do you guys wear?" He asked Megan and I.

" 5 1/2" said Megan as she stared at him.

Wow. She had some small feet compared to mine. " Uh...8 1/2" I mumbled as I looked down.

"Alright I'll be back" he said as he ran up to the counter.

" I'm going to go with him." Megan whispered in my ear. I just rolled my eyes knowing she wanted to go flirt with him.

I walked over and took a seat next to Ryder. " So, are you in college?" I asked him.

"Yeah" he said. Not bothering to ask about me.

I nodded. " As am I" I said as I looked around and noticed a very high-Tec camera sitting on one of the seats. " Is that yours?" I asked him as I pointed towards the camera.

" Yeah. Had it with me so I just brought it in" he said as he looked over, making eye contact with me.

" So you take pictures?" I ask. Not really knowing what to say. But knowing I wanted a conversation with him.

"Yeah. That's what I'm in college for, I would like to be a professional photographer" he says. I saw something spark in his eyes. I could tell it was something he felt very passionate about.

Before I could comment on what he said I heard Megan giggling as they approached us.

"Alright who's ready to play?" Cole said as he tossed me my shoes.

I rolled my eyes at I started putting them on. " Let's just start" I said as I leaned over and started putting our names on the board. " What team wants to go first?" I asked as I looked back at the three people behind me.

"We should let them, since we will be the winners anyway" Ryder smiled over at me. That simple action seemed to take my breath away. His smile was perfect. I shake my head slightly. No I do not think that way. I do not need feelings for anyone.

After an hour of playing bowling we were finally finished. I walked up and turned in my shoes before heading out. Megan walked over to me looking nervous.

" Cole wants to take me somewhere else..." She trailed off.

"And?" I looked at her confused.

"Well. He wants it to be just us.." She mumbled. I Just smiled.

"I get it Megan, it's alright I'll walk back to the dorm it's pretty close." I said as the boys came up behind us.

" No don't walk! Ryder give her a ride!" Cole said as he looked over at Ryder.

" Oh no, no I can-"

"I can drive you back. I don't care." I was cut off by Ryder. I was surprised that he would.

" Great! See you later man" Cole went up to Ryder doing some time of hand shake thing.

I walked over to Megan " be careful and if you need me call me, ok?" I looked at her.

She nodded. " Will do mom" I smiled as Cole came over and they walked over to his car.

I turned around and looked at Ryder. " You really don't have to take me home. I can walk. I don't mind"

" Just come on. I have nothing better to do anyway" he said before he turned and started walking away.

I quickly followed behind him. He stopped in front of a motorcycle. And threw his leg over and climbed on. I just stopped and stared. "T-this is your car.." I said slowly, not caring how my panicked face looked.

" Yes. Just get on its fine." He said as he put on his helmet.

I walked over to him slowly and climbed on. And immediately wrapped my arms around his waist.

"Just lean with me in the turns and you will be fine" he shouted over the roar of the engine. I nodded my head quickly as he started to drive off. Lord please don't let me die. I silently prayed to myself.
