after a long day of shopping i finally arrived home, i carried my bags upstairs before getting changed into some new clothes. i sit on the bed, the cool night air now flowing through my open window.
Coop: hey em, i wont be home for dinner tonight, will you be alright?
Em: yeah ill be fine
putting my phone down, i sighed, the cool air hitting the wrong spots, as i throw on a jumper, i know i should be eating something, but i'm worried that if i try, it'll come back up.
as i make my way downstairs there was a knock at the door. cautiously i look through the little peep hole which wad way to high.
i open the door seeing nick leaning against the wall, his sunglasses hung low on his nose. "i brought dinner" he said smiling holding up a bag of takeout.
smiling back at him, "you really didn't have to"
"i know, but i wanted to, also wanted to make sure you eat, and to check that bruise" his eyes pointed at the bruise on the side of my face
opening the door wider, he let himself in and headed to the kitchen counter, i walked around and grabbed some plates, sitting them next to each other on the other side of the bench
i sat up on the stool next to nick, "i know you probably don't want to eat, so i grabbed something easy and simple"
i smiled at him. i had only own nick for a total of 20 hours and he is already taking care of me.
"noodles" i said raising a eyebrow, "my favourite, thankyou"
"i messaged coop, said he thinks you like them"
we giggled for beginning to eat, i stared down at the noodles, "go on, eat" nick said softly,
i smiled at him, "i am, just trying to decide where to start"
we sat there eating in comfortable silence, nicks presence was nice, it filled me with calmness and security, something i haven't felt in a long time.
nick looked over my bruise after we finished eating, his hands on my face was sending shivers down my spine, probably because it was cold out.
he pulled back looking at me. "nothings broken, just a surface bruise, should be gone in the next couple days"
"thanks, how do you do you know so much medical stuff? secretly a doctor?" i teased
he chuckled, "nah, i looked after my grandmother a while, she always got herself in position were she would end up with injuries"
i smiled at him again, not saying anything, he seemed so genuine, but at the same time, matt did at the start too.
i sighed and looked up at him, "hey, um i sorry again about last night, i just met you and full trauma dumped you"
nick smiled and chuckled a little, "it's fine, don't worry about, besides i think we are gonna to make good friends, so i would've found out eventually"
