remiah was in brayden and tariq's dorm sitting on tariq's desk as the three look through brayden's dad's photo album.

"my god, my dad was such a douchebag in college." brayden said as tariq flipped through the pages. "must be from where trace gets it from."

"definitely, his ass is annoying." remiah said nodding her head causing brayden to look at her nodding his head as well before back at the book.

"what in here could possibly help you?" brayden asked tariq who still just flipped through the pages then stopped at a certain picture before pointing at it silently laughing a little. remiah looked at it rolling her eyes before brayden grabbed the book closing it. "dude, what the fuck?"

"what?"

"not that one, it'll ruin my dad."

"it has nothing to do with yo dad, aight? it's all about sweeney." tariq said looking at brayden after he took the book from him.

"i'm sorry, riq, but no means no. i gotta keep that picture to protect my family."

"and i need it to save mine."

"i'm sorry tariq, but i can't. it's a no."

"now brayden." remiah said looking at him sideways as he just shook his head.

"bro, you always talking about how much you hate what your family stand for, yet you're just like em." tariq said which made remiah nod her head a little before stopping when brayden looked at her. she cleared her throat looking down at her phone.

"fuck off, dude." brayden said standing up from the desk.

"i'm just saying, bro, you're talking about how much you hate white privilege until you might actually lose it."

"bro, that's not fair. you know i fucking ride for you, okay? til the wheels come up. but i can't let you leak a photo of my dad with a guy in-" brayden cut himself off at the word making remiah let out a slight chuckle.

"blackface." remiah finished for him as brayden nodded his head. "listen it ain't really my business, but yo dad dug his grave when he decided to play dress up with someone doing blackface, now he has to lay in it." she said shrugging her shoulders as she got off tariq's desk before walking out the door.

"i mean did she lie?" tariq asked laughing which made brayden roll his eyes.

"it's still a no."

remiah was sitting next to brushaundria in canonical studies on her phone texting ramiri. she heard the door open, so she looked back seeing tariq walking in then coming to sit behind her and brushaundria. the two girls shared a quick look before looking back to the front of the class seeing professor milgram look a little distraught. remiah let out a quiet laugh before professor milgram started walking away from the desk.

"okay, class, so far, we've explored ethical questions in the theoretical. but today we'll dive into something a little more empirical. based on experience, your own and humanity as a whole, should we make decisions for other people without their consent? and if so, when and how?" professor milgram said to the class as rashad tate stood a few feet away from her. remiah looked behind towards lauren who let out a little scoff. "welcome back, tariq. would you like to get us started today?"

"well whether we like it or not, decisions are made for people without consent all the time. it's a fact of life."

"like a professor exploiting a student?" lauren whispered but the class could still hear making remiah laugh a little.
