Dawn was breaking over the city before King Aenar dispatched the Kingsguard to bring her children Princess Elissa and Prince Maekar, the youngest and gentlest of his children, was in Riverlands, as Wards to their grandparents.
On Dragonstone, no cheers were heard. By evening, the Black Council gathered around the Painted Table as torches were lit on the Walls. King Aenar Targaryen and his lady wife Queen Cersei Lannister were seated at the head table, Prince Daemon, Princess Rheanyra and Princess Daenerys sat either side with Lord Corlys, Princess Rheanys, Ser Vaemond Velaryon, Ser Tyland Lannister, along with the rest the lesser lords sworn to House Targaryen, all seated at befitting their station.
Daemon was Hand of the King, Lord Corlys, Master of Ships, Ser Tyland, Master of Coin, Mysaria, Mistress of Whispers and Rheanyra Mistress of Laws, and Ser Erryk and Arryk Cargyll, both Lord Commander of the Kingsguard and assistant.
"Grand Maester Orywell sends a raven, that Viserys has been buried." Aenar began.
Rheanyra and Daenerys blinked, controlling their emotions from shedding tears. They miss their father so much.
"But there's more..... Aegon has been crowned King, and Alicent has been crowned Queen Regent, she sits the iron throne and rule in her son's name." Aenar struggled with the words, bitter sweet feeling burned in his loins."
"And here I was, thinking she'd accept your marriage proposals, but it's not only Aegon she wants to bend the knee, she wants you to bend the knee Your Grace. How rich coming from a clement Queen. Typically Green Whore." Daemon spat bitterly.
Cersei slightly smirks wickedly, taking a sip of her wine.
"Daemon..." Aenar shot him a warning glare.
"Pardon my language Your Grace, but tis the truth. She's a whore, murdered our brother, took my wife and daughters and Rheanyra's husband and children as hostages, crowned her son king and herself as Queen Regent, what's more to like about Alicent Hightower, a replica of Otto Hightower's cunty mistakes." Daemon seethed.
Aenar sighs, and shook his head at his Hand's display.
"So what are your plans now, Your Grace. I've heard House Beesbury has been compensated by the Greens as Lord Lyman's son now has a seat on the small council as the new Master of coin." Tyland informes the Black Council.
Scoffing, Daemon remarks. "Was the seat not once yours Ser Tyland? Surely the evidence is clear why you shifted your loyalties and allegiance after breaking your oats in the first place." He brazenly reminds the Lannisters of their unworthiness on the table.
"And our allegiance to the crown has benefitted, the cause of House Targaryen." Queen Cersei began. "Kingslanding has no more access to the blocage, thanks to our influence and that of House Velaryon for shutting down the gullet. sallying forth from Dragonstone and Driftmark to block all shipping entering or leaving Blackwater Bay." She smiles at Aenar, then sent Daemon a daring glare of loathe and defiance.
"Indeed Your Grace." Daemon peers down at his wine with a pathetic snigger.
Rheanyra sighs. "Today is the tenth day since we sent our missive to Kingslanding, and yet there has been no response, I suggest we lay a siege and kill the Hightowers." She bluntly states.
"I agree. It'll be a show of force, they wouldn't dare outnumber us, due to the Unsuilled at our disposal." Daenerys concurs.
"A good plan niece, but we must until it's thirty days...."
"Thirty days is too much ...Your Grace." Rheanys interjects. "It's been ten days and no answer from the Greens, if we wait TWENTY days, it'll turn TWENTY years. I say we crush the Hightowers now that we have all the resources that we need. Gods know how my Laenor, Laena, Rheana had Baela are faring with those vultures." She worriedly utters, sipping her wine.
