Him:
I wait outside her classroom until the lesson ends, leaning up against the wall next to the door. My head is already picturing all kinds of scenarios in which I can make her mine. This opportunity feels like a gift from god.
I straighten as I spot her coming out of the classroom, my eyes fixed on her figure. She doesn't look too excited to see me, but she doesn't look unhappy either, I will take it as a win.
"Hey, princesa." I say in a casual tone.
"Why are you here?" Maya asks.
"Just waiting for you." I answer , trying to appear calm and collected. "Can't I wait for my girlfriend?"
I can't help grinning as I see her roll her eyes at my words, she is too damn cute. I take two steps closer to her and I smile, admiring how sweet she looks up close. I want to get even closer, to touch her, kiss her... but I hold myself back for now.
"So..." I start. "Where to now?"
"What do you mean?" She asks with a puzzled expression.
"Well, we could get dinner, go to the movies, bowling..." I say in a teasing tone.
Maya grabs my arm and drags me out of the school to a secluded area behind it. She looks at me with a fierce expression but my smile stays on, she is still holding onto my sleeve.
"This is fake, remember?" She says.
"Sure do." I reply. "Still, if we're gonna pretend at least we..."
My words are cut off when I see Dylan approaching. I instinctively take a step closer to Maya. As the bastard walks over, my eyes narrow slightly, I hate the thought that he is here to bother her again.
"What do you want?" I ask him coldly, not even trying to conceal the dislike in my voice.
Dylan looks between Maya and I, his eyes lingering on where she holds onto my arm. He keeps walking closer until he is finally in front of us.
"Baby, can we talk?" He asks her, completely ignoring the way I glare at him. I step even closer to Maya, almost placing myself between her and Dylan.
"She is busy." I reply for her, my eyes burning into Dylan as I look at him up and down.
The asshole looks unfazed by my words, his gaze flickering over my face for a few seconds before it settles back on Maya.
"It will only take a minute." He tells her. "Then you can go back to... whatever you were doing."
"Okay, talk." Maya demands.
"Can't we talk in private?" Dylan asks her, still ignoring my presence.
I'm about to tell him to piss off, but Maya beats me to it. "We can talk here," she say firmly, "Whatever you have to say, you can say it in front of my boyfriend."
I can't help grinning at the way Maya calls me her boyfriend, my eyes meeting with Dylan's as I watch his reaction. He looks annoyed, I can see the irritation in his eyes at the sight of Maya calling me her boyfriend... good.
Dylan glances in my direction, clearly irritated that I'm still here, before he speaks again. "Can't I just talk to you alone?" he asks, a slight pleading in his voice.
"No." Maya replies dryly.
"Fine." Dylan says after a long sigh. "Are you really dating him?" Maya nods as a response. "You can't be serious, he is bad news." Dylan says gesturing at me.
"How would you know?" Maya asks.
"It's common knowledge. He gets into fights, doesn't get good grades and he has a bad reputation, baby. He is not good for you." He says in an attempt to get Maya to go with him. I don't knock him out because I know she doesn't want me to.
"Dylan, just go. We're done." Maya declares.
Dylan looks at both of us for a moment, anger and disbelief in his eyes as he does so. But he doesn't say anything more, instead he turns on his heels and walks away as he mutters something under his breath.
But before I can relax, he abruptly turns around and comes back. I step closer to Maya instinctively, pushing her behind my back. There's a furious anger in his eyes, and he's walking towards us with a fast pace.
I keep her hidden behind me, my heart racing in my chest. I'm ready to stop him at any moment, bracing myself for a physical fight.
Dylan walks right up to us, stopping just a few feet in front of me. He's breathing heavily, his chest rising and falling quickly as he stares right at me. "You don't deserve her," he growls, narrowing his eyes menacingly.
I scoff at his words, staring directly back at him, "You clearly don't either, if she broke up with you," I taunt him back.
Dylan's face turns darker, his expression turning angrier and more violent. "I'm the only one who deserves to be with her," he snaps, taking a quick step closer to me, his jaw clenched.
I notice that Maya flinches when Dylan takes another step, my eyes immediately snapping to her expression, looking at the subtle fear on her face. My heart skips a beat at the sight, my own anger towards Dylan growing exponentially.
"You're scared of me?" Dylan mocks Maya, noticing the way she's cowering behind me, his eyes flickering over her face, "You think hiding behind him is going to do anything?"
I turn my head to look down at Maya, seeing the vulnerability written all over her. The fact that Dylan is scaring her makes me want to hit him even more, but I manage to hold myself back for now.
"Pathetic, aren't you?" he mocks, a cruel smirk on his face.
I step in front of Maya again, shielding her from Dylan. "Back off," I growl at him, my body tense and ready for a fight.
"She's too scared to even face me by herself..." Dylan points out, gesturing at Maya.
I take a step forward, closing the gap between us even more. "Why do you think she's behind me?" I ask him with a glare, "She's behind me because you've clearly made her scared of you by being an asshole."
Dylan laughs again, his eyes flickering between us again, clearly not phased by my anger. "Why do you even care about her? She's just a girl, and a slut too, you know?" he says coldly, his voice laced with jealousy, "A slut who'd be better off with me."
My anger spikes even more as I listen to Dylan's cruel words directed at her, my body tensing up even more, my hands clenched into fists. "What did you just say?" I growl through clenched teeth.
Dylan glances at me for a moment, a condescending smile on his face. "You heard me," he replies coldly, "She's a whore. She pretends to be all innocent and sweet, but we all know what she really is."
I don't even give myself time to think before my fist is flying at his face, landing a strong blow on his jaw. "Don't you dare call her that." I snarl, gritting my teeth furiously as Dylan stumbles backwards, a look of surprise on his face.
Dylan staggers back a bit from my punch, but quickly straightens himself out again as he looks back at me. "You... you bastard!" he yells, anger and surprise in his voice, "You wanna fight?"
"Gladly" I growl.
