Xandra, a dedicated student, was taking careful notes from her lecture on the important formulas she would need for her upcoming exams. While her classmates were already packing up their things and leaving, Xandra kept writing down every formula she could find in her textbook, on her laptop screen, and on the board.

“Look at that freak...” a student giggled.

“Let her be, I wanna copy off those notes later..” The other students were whispering amongst themselves, snickering at her actions.

Despite the bell ringing minutes ago, Xandra remained focused on ensuring she had all the information she needed for the exam.

When they finally left, Xandra sighed in relief, she looked at her wristwatch, “Got thirty minutes before my next class starts.“ she tidied up her desk and went out to hang at the field track again.

It was a decent view that she likes to spend her break times, and eat sandwiches alone, used to not getting along with his peers, after all, she was a very sheltered child at age, so he could not understand how to properly express herself like others, and she was aware of that flaw.

She wasn't unhappy about it, it was a little price for being too smart than others her age, but that also does not mean she's happy.

“Hey, girl with the glasses, can you pass me that ball, please?” she looked up at a stranger, her breathing paused for a minute, it was a strange feeling when her eyes met his, a pair of soulful brown eyes, the new transfer student, Alfred Velasco.

He wasn't wearing the usual outfit for playing soccer or anything, he was just wearing the uniform.

“H-Hey? Earth to Ms.Four Eyes?” he teased with a grin on his lips. She felt embarrassed and stuttered.

“Oh, I'm sorry! There.” she kicked the ball with a little strength just enough for it to reach him.

“Thanks.” she heard him reply, but she already looked away and prepared to leave, feeling uncomfortable.

“Hey! You little shit, give me back our ball!” she heard another voice among them but she refused to look back.

“Hahahan! Try to get it then? Fuckers!” She fell on the grass field as the boy accidentally bumped into her while running backwards with a middle finger up in the air.

“Ouch!” Turns out, the guy he talked to was obviously creating trouble for himself with the soccer team, “Oh, sorry miss!” he took her hand without a warning to pull her off from the ground.

She got flustered that she could not even reply at all, she kept her mouth shut, but pulled her hand out from his.

“Hey! Come back here, asshole! Once I get my arms on you, Velasco, you are fucking dead! Ya hear me?!” one of the guy yelled at him with anger laced in his awfully barbaric voice.

“I'd love to see you try, Thomas.” he muttered before winking back at her and left running for his life.

Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion,
Xandra shook her head as she realized that and got ready to get to her next class, but before she could take another step she felt something under her shoes, and saw a silver skull keychain, two pairs of keys hanging from it, looks like a key for a vehicle.

Xandra made her way through the crowded hallways of her school, trying to find him but he could not, as she was surrounded by students who either paid her no mind, or looked at her with disdain, or disregard.

She sighed, I'll just get it back to him next time.

Despite the treatment she received from her peers, she held on to her textbooks, used to being ignored and overlooked. Xandra was not popular, and neither was she a social butterfly, and her quiet and timid personality did little to help her social life, but her academic achievements still left an impression to some, so she was often regarded as a "nerd".

As she was about to continu a group of students playfully chatting around and was too busy to notice her, “Aw..excuse me, please!” She uttered desperately as they bumped into her, they went silent when they noticed her.

They halted, “Oh, it’s just Xandra.” her eyes widened a bit when one of them remembered her name, “Ah, that nerd from the top section.” and then she lazily dragged her eyes to the person who uttered those words, she responded with a cold stare. "Just addressing me by my name would be a little less offensive," she said, raising an eyebrow at them. The group seemed to understand her irritation and quickly apologized.

“Oh, we’re sorry about that, Ms.Xandra, we didn't see you there.” The group apologized half-heartedly before walking away, Xandra ruffled her hair out of frustration before making her way to class as well.

“This is officially not my day.” she mumbled to herself, feeling even more tired that she had to bump into rude people two times.
