The next day she had to prepare for her exam, and she got up early to meet Fred who insisted on driving her to school instead.

She waved at Fred's approaching figure, and he returned a smile, before waving back.

"Hey, good morning, my love.." she heard him softly muttered before leaving a kiss on her forehead, she beamed a smile at him, "I got you a flower? Just three, I figured you'll be carrying a lot of books." her eyes softened at that thought and placed a soft kiss on his cheek.

"good morning, love, thank you.." she slowly greeted back, and as usual, he would put the helmet on her.

She had already said yes to him just a couple of days after their first date at the park, when they rode the ferris wheel, and at the top of it, when they both opened up their feelings.

He took off the wrapper of the lollipop before tasting it inside his mouth, "Look at the moon." he gestured.

The glow of the moon was breathtaking at this view, that they both fell silent, but their arms slowly intertwined with each other as Xandra rested her head on his shoulder, "Thank you for being my friend, Fred, I've never been this happy..." that line made him chuckle lightly.

"I can make you even more happier as your boyfriend." she glared at him and pinched his wrist, "I won't be here forever, love." he rested his head against hers softly, while fidgeting her fingers.

"I wish I could have met you sooner." he whispered once again, that made her eyebrows furrowed together, she then sighed.

"Do you see me getting married to you, Fred?" he grew silent, then a few seconds later he went on one knee infront of her.

"Only if you want too, I would, I'd love to marry Xandra Gonzales, will you? will you marry someone like Alfred Velasco?" he earnestly asked in his low anxious voice.

Seeing him kneel right now made her feel a lot of emotions, "Of course, only if you have a ring." she then laughed off the tears trying to run down her cheeks, "Jokes on you, I do." she felt something fit her fourth finger.

"This can do for a while, right? Hold onto my keychain until I can afford a real ring." he muttered and softly placed a kiss on her hand.

After that night she could not help but worry about the situation with her mother but at the same time, Fred had assured her that he can wait for as long as she wants him to.

"Xandra! Come down here! Someone is waiting for you." her mother screamed downstairs, she stretched her body before making her way out of her room, "Who is it, Mom?" she asked, before she slowly dragged her stare to the guy beside her, her eyes slowly widened.

"Jasper? Jasper! You're finally back?!" from excitement she immediately came running downstairs, from the strong want to greet her childhood friend with a tight hug, "I've missed you!" she said, "I miss you more!" he replied, then Xandra moved away a bit.

"How have you been? You grew so tall! And you're..." Xandra halted, trying to take a closer look at him, he then chuckled, before making a gesture on his face.

"Handsome, huh?" Xandra bursted laughing at her friend, "Yeah, you look like a panda, Jasper." she continued laughing.

"Ouch." Jasper replied, "It's just really hot here, I got sunburnt, my shades almost could not protect me." he complained, "You? How have you been? You seem to be doing well, happiness suits you well." he claimed as he stared at her, while her mind was occupied elsewhere, she just shrugged as she tried to hide her smile.

"Yes she is happy, she should be, after all, she will be the class valedictorian." her mom presumed happily, Xandra glanced back at her before her smile completely wore off as soon as she heard that, "Xandra, let Jasper have a seat, while I prepare some snacks for you two." her mother declared, "Thank you, tita!" Jasper exclaimed, while Xandra just nodded and led Jasper to the living room.

"So, how are you? Tell me all about that special someone, I can already smell it from a mile away as soon as I saw you wearing pink, looking so inlove, who is it?" he asked eagerly, Xandra then smacked him by the shoulder playfully.

"Shh! She might hear you!" she mumbled, Jasper just laughed, "So I am correct, good girl Xandra has finally got herself a boyfriend." he teased, she just sighed, "Come on let me meet him, don't worry I won't tell her or anyone about it." he continued.

"Soon, I'll let you two meet." she laughed lightlyfrom the thought of Fred and Jasper meeting, Fred wouldn't take him seriously, "What happened? What made you turn out like this? You look and feel like a whole different person, fill me in the details right now." he demanded, she giggled.

"No, I also wanna hear your stories, how was the states like?" Jasper sighed as she changed the topic, "a hell of an experience." he answered.
