The tension in the training ground had reached its peak. The cold, focused gazes of both espers locked onto each other, ready to engage in a battle meant for Y/N's growth. Tatsumaki had surrounded herself with a barrier, observing the scene carefully, prepared for what was about to unfold.

Y/N barely had time to take a breath when his father, Shigeo, appeared right in front of him, launching a punch aimed directly at his face. Y/N reacted quickly, forming a barrier just before the fist could connect. "In a real battle, the enemy won't wait for you. Always remember that, Y/N," Shigeo lectured, his voice calm yet firm. Using his telekinesis, he forcibly opened Y/N's barrier and landed a swift kick to his stomach.

"No hard feelings, champ," Shigeo added with a smile as he stepped back. Y/N gritted his teeth, clutching his stomach in pain but forcing himself to push through it. He retaliated by hurling a nearby boulder toward his father with his psychokinesis.

Shigeo deflected it effortlessly, redirecting the massive rock back toward Y/N. The young esper instinctively raised another barrier, the boulder shattering against it. "Always playing defense, huh? That's cowardly, Y/N. Attack me." Shigeo's taunt struck a nerve.

Annoyed, Y/N raised two more boulders with his psychokinesis, swirling them around him before charging straight at his father. He launched the boulders at Shigeo, who quickly threw up a barrier. But this time, Y/N was prepared. Just as Shigeo focused on blocking the boulders, Y/N darted behind him, his fist aimed directly at his father's stomach. With a sudden burst of strength, Y/N shattered the barrier and landed a solid punch, sending Shigeo flying through multiple buildings.

Tatsumaki, watching from a distance, was taken aback by Y/N's strength. She hadn't expected him to hit his father with such force, but she chose to remain a spectator for now, keen on observing her son's progress without interference.

Y/N didn't waste time. He flew toward his father, fist ready to strike again. But as he approached, Shigeo had already recovered. Meeting Y/N's punch head-on with his own, their fists collided, creating a shockwave that tore through the air, sending several buildings around them crumbling from the impact.

A grin spread across Shigeo's face as he absorbed the force of his son's punch. "Good. This is exactly what your mother and I wanted to see," he said, his voice full of pride. Then, with a surge of telekinetic energy, he added extra force to his punch, overwhelming Y/N's strength and sending him hurtling backward through the air.

The young esper halted in mid-air, hovering over the battlefield with a multitude of boulders at his disposal, his mind racing with thoughts on how to gain the upper hand. Every possible strategy, every weak point in his father's defenses, and every move that might shift the tide in his favor spun through his head.

He swiftly launched the boulders toward Shigeo in a chaotic barrage. Shigeo, thinking it would be a repeat of Y/N's earlier trick, raised his barrier, anticipating a sneak attack. But the young esper wasn't where he had expected. Once the debris cleared, Y/N was nowhere to be found.

Shigeo quickly scanned the area with his eyes, but it wasn't enough. Tapping into his spiritual awareness, he sensed two distinct esper auras—Tatsumaki, who watched quietly from her perch, and Y/N, who was now positioned above him, preparing for another attack.

"This is no time for hide and seek, champ!" Shigeo called out, turning in time to use his telekinesis to grab Y/N midair. The invisible force wrapped around Y/N, tightening its grip. Caught off-guard, Y/N struggled momentarily but managed to break free, dropping a rain of debris and massive boulders down upon his father.
