Today... yes.
Today is the day I officially step into the role I've dreamed of since I first saw my dad walk into boardrooms like he owned the world.

The day I, Vanshika Rathore, become the CEO of H.R Enterprises—the empire my father built from nothing.

But no, Dad isn't retiring. He never could. He will continue to run things. Technically, he's still the boss.
But I'll be the frontline. The decision-maker.
The face of the future.

And like I told him weeks ago—I didn't want the title just because I'm his daughter. I wanted to earn it. On merit.
So I had insisted on giving an interview, just like any other qualified professional would.
He wasn't too happy about cancelling today's welcome function... but after a lot of convincing, he agreed.

And now, here I am. Ready. Focused.
And dressed to kill—blazer sharp, heels sharp and intentions even sharper.

After kissing Mom on her forehead and saying goodbye to Lakshya with a smile, I left the house.

The morning air was crisp, the streets alive with the usual Delhi buzz. I turned up the music in my car—some random soft rock humming in the background—and started the engine. It was exactly 8:00 AM.

Twenty-five minutes later, I stood outside the glass-paneled building of H.R Enterprises.
Sunlight bounced off the smooth facade. I stared up at it for a second, heart pounding—but not from fear. From adrenaline.

This is it, I thought. Your world now.

Pushing the glass doors open, I walked in like I belonged there. Because I did.

"Good morning, Miss Vanshika," Mrs. Jain, our long-time receptionist, greeted me with a warm smile. "You're right on time. Your father is already waiting inside."

I returned her smile with confidence. "Thank you, Mrs. Jain."

She led me toward the conference room, where I was met by my father—and two familiar board members, Mr. Patel and Ms. Rao. Both senior. Both incredibly respected.

And both now ready to evaluate me.

I shook their hands, stood tall, and answered every question with clarity, poise, and an edge of boldness. This wasn't just another role—it was mine.

"Miss Rathore," Mr. Patel asked, "What drives you to want this position beyond just legacy?"

I didn't flinch. "Legacy is only the beginning. I want to scale H.R Enterprises—to push beyond Indian borders and plant our flag globally. But not just growth. I want to evolve our ethics, our people policies, and our brand impact. Growth with a conscience—that's my blueprint."
