"Wait, so you guys are telling me that: Your mother went zubat-sh-"
"Language." Lillie said blandly.
"-CRAZY, forced you two to the only option of running away, dedicated her life to a project, your friend got kidnapped, turned to a 1000lbs+ pokemon, got captured by the very reason of her research, got the same friend to become the LEGENDARY POKEMON of your region, saved your mother, saved your region from some black prism Pokemon called Necrozma, and your friend has been captured by the person who supported you along the way?!" I say, clearly dumbfounded by this... What do I even call it...? Even Chimchar is looking like he just saw Arceus give head.
"Are you sure we should've told him?" Gladion turns to his sister, obviously not liking my rant.
Before I made a retort the ground below me changed terrain and threw me off balance, making me re-stabilize myself before looking up to see we've made it to the academy. It was a tall and wide building with multiple stadiums around it and a court-yard. If I ever get lost for the first time, it's likely going to be in the school.
"We made it!" Lillie says, happy that the road over had ended.
"Hmph, at least I won't have to hear your chatter for the rest of the day." Gladion says as he walks past me to the school.
"Sure, buddy. I'm not so unbearable." I say huffing before realizing they left me behind, "Wha-?! Hey! Wait for me!" I say before speeding after them.

We just got out of the... main hall? After the opening ceremony and the principal seems like a chill guy, honestly. But that's the least of my worries, he said I'm sharing DORMS... I'm not surviving a second in this school.
The students rushed outside, or at least the ones who wanted a Pokemon. I saw like, 22 students who just went on their way to the dorms they were assigned to, while Gladion and Lillie looked on, likely waiting for me. I nodded and ran out to catch a Pokemon.
I sprinted out and looked around for a Pokemon of my own. It was mostly made up of the average route 1-2 Pokemon for each region. Some people caught a Spearow, some caught a Pidgey, other times it was a rattata. But then I tripped on something while going to the icy section, where I tripped on something.
"Whoa!" I exclaimed before falling face first. Seriously? I look to see what I tripped on and was shocked.
Failure The Shinx
- Tagged on Ice Rock
I was more than just shocked. I was mortified. Who could have done this?!
I pushed the ice encased Pokemon out of the cold zone and brang out Chimchar.
"Chimch?" Chimchar squeaks out and looks around before its eyes lay sight on the incapacitated Shinx to which it reacts, "CHIMCHAR?!"
"Yea, I know. This is tragic. Say, can you use ember to thaw the poor guy out?" I say while looking at Chimchar. It looks back and starts charging up fire in it's mouth before jerking its head forward and shooting a powerful ember. The flame hits the ice glacier and melts off enough for half the Shinx ice block, freeing him up halfway.
"Sh,Sh,Sh..." It creaked out in a cold shiver.
Me and Chimchar looked at each other in the eyes, feeling sorry for the Shinx.
"Chimchar, return." I say, holding up my Pokeball and returning my starter.
I turn to Shinx and start to drag it back. Everyone else had caught a Pokemon and went back inside. You just got inside to see Lillie waiting, no sign of Gladion.
