Aftermath - Ninth Chapter

 While strolling to the garden, a notable figure with a side tail is noticed. Her white cape flowed around her as she was training. Butterflies with the similar patterns of her hairpin flying freely around her and the many flowers around. Maintaining a great fluid form of a well trained Demon Slayer as she motions most of her limbs and katana to practice certain Flower Breathing techniques.

"I wonder if I can master these techniques today..." Kanao thought out loud.

Meanwhile, Kaylee was humming a song to herself and thinking about recent things that have happened. Kanao continued to focus on her practiced forms and techniques, her breathing in a relaxed manner as she did so, however, she was immediately alerted to a sudden presence nearby and would look up to find Kaylee there humming a song to herself.

"Good morning, Kaylee." She spoke in a calm voice, a gentle smile present on her face.

"Hm?" Kaylee looked up and smiled once she saw her best friend.

"Kanao! It's great to see you!" She greeted her happily. "How are you?"

Kanao's smile only grew wider as Kaylee spoke. She gave a faint nod of her head as she responded in her same gentle tone, her expression never wavering from her normal serene state.

"I'm doing well, thank you for asking. How are you doing?" She spoke slowly and calmly, her words coming out gently and with a touch of warmth.

"I'm doing much better after the advice you gave me the other day...I still can't thank you enough for that" Kaylee smiled sweetly.

"That's good to know." Kanao replied in her normal, relaxed tone.

Her smile slowly turned into a soft one as her lilac eyes would also soften slightly as they gaze at Kaylee.

"It was no trouble at all, I'm glad I was able to be of guidance to you." She replied.

Kaylee smiled equally as softly and nodded. She was happy to see Kanao starting to come out of her shell even more. Tanjiro has really helped her.

"I was actually looking for Inosuke, I think I finally know what to do to get through to me that I do love him, and for him to tell me what made him think I didn't like him. But I haven't seen him nor Tanjiro or Zenitsu. I was wondering if you've seen them?" Kaylee asked.

Kanao tilted her head slightly in thought at the mention of Inosuke. Her face was as serene and relaxed as ever. However, in the short while it took her to think, she had finally nodded her head very slightly.

"I have. They have gone on a mission in place of Aoi with The Sound Hashira." She informed her.

"Oh! Really? That makes sense" Kaylee replied, thinking for a while. "I wonder what kind of mission it is..." She added.

Kanao had given a light, barely audible hum after hearing these thoughts spoken out loud by Kaylee.

"I'm unaware of the full details. Though I think I recall them heading towards a place called Yoshiwara. Where an entertainment district is to help find The Sound Hashira's three wives that had gone missing." She replied.

Kaylee raised her eyebrows a bit in an understanding expression.

"Ohh, I hope they come back safe then. I've heard of Yoshiwara but I've never been there before. From what I heard, it's really big."

Kanao nodded her head in agreement. This mission would be nothing to scoff at. The entertainment district? She was certain that the three boys would be alright. Still, concern still brewed inside her. But she was unsure to voice her own thoughts at first.
