Lin Yuqi lay in bed, staring up at the ceiling of her new room in the Xia family's home.
The faint chirping of crickets outside was the only sound in the stillness of the night. As she pulled the thin blanket over her, her mind wandered to the events of the day.
Though it had been comforting to be welcomed by Father and Mother Xia, she couldn't help but notice how thin the resources seemed around the house.
The simple meal she had cooked earlier had used up much of their remaining grains and vegetables.
From what she could tell, their supplies would barely last the week.
Lin Yuqi frowned slightly, thinking of how hard life must be for the Xia family.
Farming was their main source of income, and from the look of it, they were struggling to make ends meet.
She knew they wouldn't say it out loud, but the hardship was written in every corner of their home.
How could she help? Lin Yuqi wondered.
She had some knowledge and skills, but what could she do to truly make a difference?
Perhaps they could start a small business. Selling food came to her mind instantly. She had been a cooking vlogger in her previous life, after all.
Maybe she could introduce new recipes, use their resources more effectively, and find a way to sell food in the local market.
But they would need more supplies than the Xia family had right now...
Her thoughts swirled with worry until, eventually, her eyelids grew heavy, and she drifted off to sleep.
When Lin Yuqi opened her eyes, she found herself in an entirely different place.
She blinked in confusion, looking around at the lush, fertile land surrounding her.
There was a spring, clear and sparkling, in the middle of the field.
The air felt fresher here, and everything seemed to glow with an otherworldly energy.
"Where am I?" she whispered to herself, taking cautious steps toward the spring.
Her heart raced with excitement and disbelief as the scene began to feel oddly familiar.
Was this the legendary spiritual spring she had written about in her novels? (⊙_⊙)
Kneeling beside the spring, Lin Yuqi cupped her hands and took a sip of the crystal-clear water.
The moment it touched her lips, she was surprised by how sweet and refreshing it tasted.
The water flowed smoothly down her throat, leaving a cooling sensation that seemed to spread through her entire body, as though every cell had been revitalized.
"This... is amazing!" she thought, feeling the spring's rejuvenating effects.
Her fatigue faded almost instantly, and she felt stronger and more alive.
The water from the spiritual spring was truly special, just like she had imagined it in her stories.
Standing up, Lin Yuqi glanced around the strange yet beautiful space. It was then that she noticed something else—a small store at the far end of the field.
Her curiosity piqued, she made her way toward it, and as she got closer, her eyes widened in astonishment.
The store was stocked with essentials: white rice, brown rice, canned food, soap, powdered milk, soy sauce, condiments and many more!
And not only that—there were fruits displayed neatly, like apples, oranges, pears, grapes, as well as fresh vegetables!
Lin Yuqi stared at the abundance in disbelief. She could barely contain her excitement.
"What luck!" she thought, her heart racing.
She couldn't believe her eyes. This was like something out of a dream, or one of her novels. With all these supplies, she could help the Xia family survive and thrive!
She reached out and grabbed an apple from the store, biting into it eagerly.
The sweet, crisp flavor burst in her mouth, so much better than anything she had tasted in her modern life. It was perfect—refreshing, juicy, and incredibly delicious. (O_O)
For a moment, she could only stand there, taking in the sheer magnitude of what she had discovered.
The spiritual spring, the store, all the food and essentials—this was a miracle!
Suddenly, Lin Yuqi jolted awake, blinking in the dim light of her small room.
She sat up, the vivid dream still fresh in her mind.
Her heart was pounding, and she couldn't shake the feeling that something extraordinary had just happened.
Tentatively, she closed her eyes and focused on the space she had seen in her dream.
Before she knew it, she was back in that space. Her eyes widened, and she could hardly believe it. It wasn't just a dream—it was real!
With trembling hands, she decided to test it. Could she take something out?
Focusing on an apple, she reached out with her mind and, a second later, felt the solid weight of the fruit in her hand. She gasped, staring down at the apple now resting in her palm. It had worked!
Breathing rapidly, Lin Yuqi quickly decided to try something else.
She focused on a pack of sugar, willing it to appear in her hands. Sure enough, the pack materialized in her grasp.
She grinned broadly, her heart pounding with excitement. It was like she had won the lottery!
With this, she wouldn't have to worry about food anymore, and she could help the Xia family in ways they never imagined.
For a moment, she just sat there, staring at the apple and sugar with wide eyes, trying to comprehend the miracle that had unfolded before her.
This space—this spiritual spring and store—it was more than she could have ever hoped for.
Lin Yuqi's mind raced as she thought of a plan. She couldn't just suddenly pull out all these supplies without raising suspicion. She would have to be careful.
Maybe she could ask Mother Xia tomorrow about how to go to the market.
That way, she could take out some items from the space slowly, without anyone noticing anything strange.
Her heart still fluttering with excitement, Lin Yuqi lay back down, a small smile on her lips.
Things were looking up. She had found a way to help the Xia family, and she wasn't going to let this opportunity slip away.
