As we reach our room.

Vihaan and I unlock it and try to push back in our luggage.

But that is a struggle to say the least, especially with my suitcase.

I press onto the pink suitcase with the force of my arms, exerting every muscle and bone on the luggage to push it inside and get it through the not so wide rectangle door.

"Oh my God!" Vihaan grunts as he tries yanking it through by the metal handle.

"This is why I told you to just bring a hand bag and pack light!"

I roll my eyes, and bite the inside of my cheeks ,my hand reddening from the pressure as I compress them on the coton suitcase

"There was no problem coming in....My bag just got heavier." I am able to gasp out.

And suddenly it jolts a little, causing the luggage to go back by a centimeter. But my hope is struck down when I realize that it is still stuck.

He groans in disappointment pulling back on the suitcase again and I reluctantly get back in my position to push it.

"What did you add?" He asks.

How is he not out of breath?

My arms ache, my chest aches and my throat aches.

A heavy brick weight pressing on them.

"S-souvenirs" I struggle to say, my voice hoarse "for Sam and Tam"

He blinks "we could have brought them if you like"

Before I could respond to the ridiculous statement, the suitcase case budges and after a little more push it flies inside.

Vihaan dodges it and it crashes into the other luggages, not before leaving a dark red rash on my hand from the friction.

I hiss in pain and squeeze my hand to soothe the line that stings into my arm

His head snaps to mine and he sprints over without waste."Are you alright?why did you push so hard?"

He takes it in his.

I nod, and gulp as if to swallow the pain, and try to ignore the proximity. Ignore his warm breath on my head

"I'm fine. I'm fine" I breathe and push back.

I can't develop feelings right now.

Never with him.

He pauses and blinks before saying.

"Umm be careful then" and the leads his hand inside as a passage to enter

Before I can take a step inside however, someone clears their throat behind us.

I don't get a chance to see them-but Vihaan does.

His eyes switch from pity and fear to pure horror, his eyes widen like the moon and he stumbles back, letting go of my hand. Panic and death captures his pupils and strings his movements.

"M-mr. Leela?" He breathes after a few failed attempts of speaking.

I spin around to see him standing behind me. In pale clothes matching the deep wrinkles on his face and the grim expression with his hands locked behind his back.

My voice catches in my throat and no amount of swallowing brings it back. I step back only to sink into the harsh wooden door, but his expression doesn't change a bit.

He creaks a forced smile and then shifts between me and Vihaan's face.

"I need to talk to her" he points his finger at me.
