"Anyways, I'm sure you'll have a great time fucking this 'Stacy' and swapping spit with her, but I've got to go home now, don't want to worry my parents, you know," Richie says sharply. "Yeah right, your parents literally let you do whatever you want," Stanley says, seeing right through Richie. He rode away on his bike, leaving the losers in confusion. "God he's weird," Beverly started, once Richie was out of ear shot. "Yeah... you get used to it," Eddie mumbled.
"Well I-I've got nothing to do to-today, so do you gu-guys want to come over?" Bill suggested, grabbing his bike. Stanley sighed, "I wish I could, but my dad wants me to practise the Tanakh with him today." "Oh." Bill replies, looking down in disappointment. "Well, ma-maybe tomorrow?" "Yeah, I'll try," Stanley hops on his bike, saying bye to his friends. Stanley's eyes linger on Bills, before he peddles off. "Sorry Bill, I would but I've got plans with Ben tonight," Beverly mentions, blush forming on her cheeks. "I don't want to know," Eddie exaggerates. She rolls her eyes in reply, "I don't know what's taking him so long anyways." Bill turns to Eddie, "w-well I g-guess that just leaves y-you Eddie?" "Sure, I can come over, I haven't got any plans, but I just can't stay for dinner," Eddie replies. "That's fine, d-dinners with my fa-family are always awkward anyways, th-they don't like it when we ta-talk." Bill adds, as Eddie unchains his bike. "But, what about Mike? He might be free." Beverly questions. I can't be bo-bothered to go to hi-hi-his house." Bill rolls his eyes. They both jump on their bikes, and head to Bills house, leaving Beverly to wait for Ben to come out.

After reaching Bills house, they hop off their bikes, dropping them to the ground. They both step into the house, waiting for the relief of air, that never came. "Why's it so hot in here," Eddie asks, taking a puff of his inhaler, before placing it on the couch. "S-sorry, forgot to m-mention the AC isn't wo-working." Bill continued, "t-to make it b-better, I-I'll get some r-refreshments." "Refreshments? You've been spending way too much time with Stanley," Eddie remarked, trying not to laugh. "Fuck off," Bill walks into the kitchen, and comes back with a Dr Pepper, and a glass of lemonade. "Here," Bill says, holding the can of Dr Pepper out for Eddie to take. "Oh no, it's fine, I'll just have a glass of water." "God E-Eddie, s-s-sometimes your such a pai-pai-fucking pain," Bill says, opening the can before Eddie can object. Eddie dramatically gasps. "You did not. I can't believe you, that's so manipulative Bill, like really manipulative. I mean, you know the affects of drinking a lot of this shit right? You could get tooth decay, and people pass that over as something minor, but trust me, in the future when all your teeth are rotten, you'll be coming to me, crying, about how to fix a problem that is no longer fixable. And opening the drink, because you know I can't waste anything is such a fake friend move, I expect this shit from Richie but-" "just d-drink it. Your m-mom isn't going to m-magically appear, telling y-you, you'll die f-from it. And your n-not going to get tooth de-decay, from the occasional drink." Eddie rolls his eyes, taking the drink from Bills hand. "I know that, thank you Bill," Eddie replies sarcastically, "but people use the same excuse for cigarettes, 'it's just one a day' 'oops now it's 3' 'oh shit now it's 5 packs a day'. Why take the chances if you might become addicted, and addiction is not something to take lightly. You know-" "oh my god, do y-you ever s-shut up." Bill cuts Eddie off, tired of his rambles, "also no one is s-sm-smoking 5 packs of cig-cigarettes a day, their lu-lungs would be b-black." "No. They'd be dead." "Ugh come on, let-let's go up." Bill walks away, knowing Eddie will follow. "I bet Richie's moms' lungs are black." "S-shush."
"So," Bill sighs, "I g-guess it's just us." He mentions, as Eddie joins him on the bed. "You say that like it's a bad thing, am I not your best friend?" Eddie pulls a face at him. Bill snickers, "Of c-course you are," he says with a smug impression on his face. "Well, s-since it is just us... let's talk about y-you and Stacy." Bill smirked, taking advantage of the opportunity. "No." Eddie reacts bluntly, "I'm not talking to you about Stacy." "Hey! I th-thought w-we were best friends!" Bill returned, teasingly hitting Eddie on the shoulder. He rolled his eyes. Despite the awkward topic, he knew he could talk to Bill about almost anything. "I don't know. I guess I should be lucky a girl like Stacy would be interested in me, but I'm not. She just isn't my type I guess, to be completely honest she makes me feel uncomfortable." Bill chuckled at that comment, understanding where he was coming from. Bill tries to reassure him, "Don't w-worry Eddie, the right girl will co-come along at s-some point." Eddie didn't know why there was a slight sting to those words. "Or maybe I'll just be alone forever." Eddie jokes, though there a slight pit in his stomach, that he was right. "I doubt th-that, if your mom ca-can find someone to love her, I'm s-sure you can," Bill reassured. "Oi! Maybe it's Richie you've been spending too much time with."
