Untouchable

Chapter Three

Adam

I was back at my rocks, the ones I climb instead of following the edge of the water, when the tide gets higher. I was sitting, my arms around my legs. I thought about what had happend only minutes ago.

I had decided to go for a walk on one of the shores, one of the many I had explored already, and I was so shocked when that girl's head bumped into my leg. I wasn't even paying attention to where I was going. I didn't even noice her weird behaviour right before that either. She was just another person wandering the beach. The little boy, who I assumed was her brother, even ran right past me without so much as a glance.

But this - this was crazy. How come, after all these years, this one girl could feel me, and even see my shadow, apparently? Then I thought that maybe, just maybe, that spell or whatever that guy had done to me was finally wearing off.

I had tried to talk to her as I walked onto the beach, but she didn't seem to hear me. I reached down and grabbed her arm to pull her up from where she had fallen - from shock, I guess - and she just completely freaked out.

So instead of making things worse, I backed off. I saw her brother run right through me and ask her what was up, and she pointed at my shadow. I backed away further and heard her say: "That, the shadow on the ground, RIGHT THERE!"

Then I started running. I had no idea what had just happend. After being alone so long and never interacting with people I didn't know what to do. As I ran, I looked back and saw the two kids walking back towards the houses on the beach.

I ran all the way back to my rocks and climed up. This was where I went to think - about anything, really. And that's where I was until the sun went down.

It was then that I decided to go back the next day and try to talk to the girl who saw me and try to tell her what happend to me. Hopefully it would work out.

Hm, let's see if Adam will figure this out.

I'll try to do alternating POV, but if I have to I'll just do two in a row or something, I don't really know yet.

If anyone is reading this please let me know, because I don't know if I'll finish it or not, and also I might get caught up with school and work and so on... (blablabla)
