Tommy/Lizzie: She's Mine? (IV)

Lizzie's P.O.V.

"Goodnight Mum," Ruby said smiling as I covered her with a soft blanket. I kiss the top of her head, gently running my fingers through her hair.

"Goodnight babe," I whisper as I shiver from the running fever I had. All day I have stayed cooped up here in the kid's room, I had just put Charlie to sleep and now, I had come into. her room, I looked over at the small sofa and walked over there using the small throw blanket to cover myself. Ruby's soft snore immediately began echoing in the large room, as she was tired from playing with Karl, Charlie, and John's kids all. day long. I looked out the window, as tears began to flow effortlessly, I had promised myself I wouldnt. cry infront of Tommy ever. again, and I didnt. But the pain of his actions hurt enough to feel as if they were a physical wound.

There was a soft knock on the door, "Ms Stark?" Frances said softly, "Dinner is served downstairs, for you and Mr Shelby."

I look over. at Ruby, not wanting her to wake up I gently tiptoe to the door, and open it a crack to answer her. "I am not hungry Frances, but thank you."

She looked at me concerned, "Ms Stark, you have not eaten all day."

"I have gone longer without food." I say firmly, "Goodnight Frances." I shut the door before she could respond, and locked it. I heard her footsteps retract from the door, as I sat back down on the. small chair.

I want to go home. I hadnt spoken to Anna since we had been separated this morning, I looked over and saw a land line on the small table beside Ruby's bed. Walking over I pick up the phone, and dial our home number, after a few rings Anna answered, "Lizzie," She said immediately, "Is it you?"

"It's me," I whispered, "You alright?"

"Yeah," Anna sighed in relief, "Arthur and Michael dropped Rosa and I back home, and said they would come to check on us, but never came."

"Sorry, Anna,"

"You have nothing to say sorry about Lizzie," Anna said firmly, "I chose to follow ya, and I would again if you find an escape from there."

"Not anymore." I say defeatedly, "Tommy told Ruby everything, she herself won't leave now." And I couldnt bring myself to leave her. Ruby meant everything to me, and she knew that. "How's Rosa?"

"She's okay," Anna exhaled heavily, "Alittle shaken up, but misses you two more."

"I miss her too." I admit, "I do not know when I will see you two now, maybe if Ruby asks tommorow then-"

"Just wait for alittle bit," She advised, "Otherwise he will think that you are trying to escape."

She was right, "Yeah," I sighed, "It's late,"

"Yeah," Anna said, "You should get it some sleep Lizzie." How can I get some sleep here? When all I wanted to do was go home and take my baby with me.

"Yeah, goodnight."

"Night." I hang up the phone, content the two are safe.

"Ms Stark?" Frances knocked on the door once again, "Mr. Shelby has asked for you to come down." Breathing out heavily, I lay. down on the bed beside Ruby trying to drown out her voice, "Ms Stark?" Annoyed at her persistence I get up wrap the small blanket from the chair around me and open the door. "I am sorry Ms, but-"

"I have told you I am not hungry Frances."

"You haven't eaten all day." Tommy said scaring me alittle to see him standing. right behind the door as he. pulled it open wider. "Stop acting like a child Lizzie, and come have dinner."
