𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒 𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐊𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐆𝐎𝐎𝐃𝐁𝐘𝐄. A tear slowly ran down your cheek as your mum pulled away from the tight hug after basically strangling you.

"How did you get this old , this fast?" Your mum spoke up, brushing away a piece of blonde hair from your face, her eyes gleamed with sadness.

"you better visit us soon , pumpkin" your fathers voice spoke up, his texas accent more visible than ever.

"I will , daddy , i promise" you spoke, making sure to keep your voice sweet as you let a sympathetic smile grow on your lips.

A car honked outside your door, you picked up your overly big bag, grunting as you did.

"That must be my ride" you said, you slumped as your parents looked at you and suddenly all memories from being young up to the age you were now, made you suck a breath in.

"Ill be okay" you said , your voice gentle, you opened the front door - a wave of cold air hitting your face.

"I love you guys!" You blew a kiss towards them,  both of them were huddled by the front door, watching you leave.

"we love you too"  your mum wiped a tear from her eye as you dissapeared into the car, you waved the goodbye.

"Hey , girl" Your bestfriend , Tara looked over at you as you stuffed your bag into the back seat amongst her other stuff.

"Hey" you sighed out as the car engine began, your head resting itself on the head rest.

Taras hands were placed on the steering wheel, her eyes fixated on the road ahead of her.

The car came to an end as tara took the keys out, she let out a breath before looking over at you.

"ya ready?" Her head bopped to the side, her brunette hair moving from her shoulders to the side.

"hmm" you hummed, nodding.

but you weren't ready, you knew you weren't. This was a fresh start from your old college.

You and your parents had moved from jackson to seattle, Your dad had found a new better paying job.

"Hey , everything will.be.okay." tara placed her hand on your leg, her voice reassuring.

"i know , i know" you sighed out, your fingers massaged the top of your forehead.

Taras eyes were glued on you for a second, she smacked her lips before starting ,

"come on" she exited the car, opening the back door to collect all of her items.

you did the same thing, you grabbed your big bag, swinging it over your shoulder as you watched Tara collect hers.

You both walked down the corridors, hand in hand.

"okay"  Tara sucked in a breath, she was gripping her dorm key in front of her, Taras eyes were forced close and so were yours.

"ready?" She squeeked.

"yep" you replied, your stomach filling with both excitement and fear.

you both quickly opened your eyes, fixating them on the numbers that were engraved on the keychains.

"what'd you get?" you asked, curiousity obvious in your voice.

"201" Tara replied, her hand twisted to show you the numbers on the keychain.

You swallowed the lump in your throat as you showed her yours, Taras eyes slightly widened, you could tell she was nervous aswell from her reaction.

"207" you said, barely above a whisper, a wave of nausea crashed over you.

"you're just down the hall, im sure everything will be fine" she nervously chuckled, trying to push away any negativity.

"yeah" you said as you began to walk towards Taras dorm.

"this is me, and uhm" she started as you began to walk to your dorm.

"if you're sharing you dorm with a boy.. Just make sure you use like.. Condoms..yeah?" she quietly said, her nose scrunching.

"Great, very appreciated , Tara" you sarcastically scoffed, beginning to find your dorm.

Your eyes flicked between the door numbers and the keychain.

"207,207,207,207,207" you whispered as you neared your dorm, you paused infront a door the golden letters on it read 207.

you sucked in a breath as you twisted the key in the keyhole, the door clicked open.

you allowed yourself in , taking the first glance at your roomates side of the room.
