Once upon a time, in a vast open garden of a grand estate, a young boy sat alone on a bench. A look of boredom was drawn on his young face as he didn't find anything to do.

The young boy, surrounded by luxuries and influence, found nothing to fill the emptiness in his heart. Nothing seemed to peck his interest and amusement. He wished for a savior, someone who would be his friend... his eternal significant other. However, this seemed to be like an unfulfilled dream. The boy didn't receive any normal interactions, even with his family.

It was almost impossible...

Or so he thought.

A giggle rang in his ears, making the little kid raise his head up. At first, he thought he was imagining the sound. The giggle was there again and his curiosity got the best of him. He kept staring at the direction of the sound until he saw it.

There... behind one of the trees, there was someone peeking at him. A little girl that appeared to be a bit younger than him was smiling cheerfully. Just how did she get in?

She enthusiastically waved her hand at him in a friendly gesture. The young male was surprised at first to see someone like him, but his shock was quickly masked with a nonchalant expression.

The girl -now exposed- approached the boy, standing a few steps away from him. Her bright smile was still on her face, indicating her happiness to befriend him.

"Hi, wanna be friends?"

Her innocent question came as a foreign request. He wasn't familiar with such thing like friendship. The young male gazed at the way she was dressed. Her outfit wasn't one of a rich child, she looked... normal. A girl from middle class.

"How did you in?" The boy asked with a raised eyebrow, making the little female blink a few times.

"I came here with my daddy. I was wondering around and saw you. Wanna play with me?"

The young boy didn't know why he was so effected by her smile and enthusiasm. Was she some sort of a witch? No, witches don't exist. This is just silly. With a low tsk, he hopped off the bench and crossed his arms.

"No. I don't play with people like you."

And just like that, he left the garden, leaving the girl behind. He didn't turn or even glance at her, but she was certainly disappointed.

Why did he reject her? Why? Didn't he want someone to share his moments with? She wanted to be his friend, but he turned her down. Was it probably because he never interacted with anyone like himself? Whatever was the reason, what's done is done now.
