Charlie's Pov
After the car ride, MANG and I was walking together as a group. MANG was wearing their initial on their shirt. I was wearing my childhood nickname on my shirt (The picture I shown up on the top)
We walked up to our parents table and Mom said "Girls!"
Ellen said "M-A-N-G. Ma... What's MANG?"
Max response with "MANG. Like wang. And can you just, like, not?"
Max saw Ellen's face and quickly change their tone by saying "But I love you, and I'm super grateful to be here."
Then Norah's mom said "MANG, like mango"
Norah said "Mom, no."
Ellen looks at me and said "What about you sweetheart, where is your initial?"
I shrug and answered "It wouldn't make sense if I join into the name thing and also, I like my nickname that mom gave me."
Ellen said "Aw That's so sweet."
Mom whispered to us "Maybe Ellen and I should make matching shirts."
Ginny looks annoyed and said "Are you trying to embarrass us?"
"You're the G in MANG, and I'm embarrassing?"
I laughed at that and ginny gave me a look because of that.
Mom stops the tension by saying "Jesus, Lighten up."
Ginny said "Just don't talk about any of your ex-husbands or boyfriends, and, oh my god, do not talk to my friends about their sex lives. And don't flirt with students or other parents. And please don't Botox a classroom."
Mom defended herself by saying "I only did that once."
"Mom, please." said Ginny pleading our mom.
"I didn't realize I was a liability. Fine. I'll stay out of your way, G."
Ginny goes with rest of MANG.
Mom turned and said "I'll stay out of your way too, Angel."
I shake my head and said "No, you're doing fine, mom. I think ginny just want to feel normal today that just all."
"I swear I feel like her mother not me."
I roll my eyes and sarcastic laugh at her. "Hilarious mom, now I'll go with my friends."
We entered in the gymnasium and saw the most awesome thing for a school event.
I said "Okay this is cool."
Max said "This is even better than I could have imagined!"
Ginny said "Holy crap. This is carnival on crack."
The gymnasiums look like county fair with bright lights. It had a dance floor, a photobooth, and food vendors. Also, a fortunate teller stands and live Dj.
