"Sooo...How long do you think we'll be here...?" Orion's voice broke the deafening silence between him and D-16. Both were sitting down in sickbay, watching as other racers were getting patched up from the race.

"I'm not talking to you." D-16 spitefully spat as he cross his arms, looking away from Orion angrily. Orion leaned away from D-16, as more silence followed within growing tension.

That is until D-16 began ranting.

"You know what? I can't believe you made me do that- We are so screwed!!"

"Thought you weren't talking to me." Orion mused, but D-16 didn't find any of this funny. In fact, he was pretty pissed at Orion for getting him in this situation.

"Hey look- I know it's all a big joke to you- but to me! I was paying my dues. I was going places, and now they're gonna bust me down- I-I don't even know how many tiers!" D-16 continued on, taking out his anger on Orion and panicking for his future consequences, "Let's not forget we left Y/n all alone- You know they're gonna kick both are tin cans for us- no- YOU being an idiot!"

"Wow hey- I'm sorry D....but come on didn't you feel it?? Even for just a second? Didn't you feel- liberated? Didn't you feel like you were something else?? Like you could be more than what they say you are...?" Orion tried to get D-16 to open his optics to why he did this in the first place, to show that they were something more. Orion wanted D-16 to feel that way, to help him feel like he and the others, were more than just miners.

"Yeah...I felt it...I did." D-16 panted as he tried to calm his nerves down, but sent a warning look to Orion, knowing what he was doing, "But it doesn't matter. We're going to get punished, demoted, AND we both won't get to see Y/n ever again!" D-16 lashed out again, before sighing as he placed his helm in his servos, "Sentinel Prime saw the whole thing...This is SO embarrassing..."

"Ah come D...You're thinking too negative! Even IF we were to get demoted, surely to Primus we'll still find ways to hang out with Y/n..." Orion tried to comfort his friend, but found himself doubtful of his own words.

"How can you be so sure?" D-16 grumbled and Orion didn't answer.  I'm truth, the more he thought about it, the more he realized that it would almost be near impossible to see Y/n from a different tier level. Seeing as their the new captain of the miners, and would be severely busy 24/7, they wouldn't have time for the both of them anymore.

That made Orion panic a little.

"...You two are so dead..."

Speaking of Y/n, they had just now entered the medical station huffing and puffing, as if the they ran all the way to get there. The two mechs tensed up at their angry tone, looking at each other with wide optics, before sending charming, yet nervous, grins towards Y/n's seething form.

"H-hey N/n. So- um- How's it going?" D-16 asked nervously, sitting a little bit more straighter in Y/n's presence.

"Did you enjoy the race...?" Orion stated next, yet yelped when a flying piece of metal slammed into his helm. Where Y/n even got it, the two mechs didn't know. Nor were they about to ask.

"Are. You. KIDDING ME?! First you guys LEFT me in the middle of a crowd, then I had to spend my time saving your afts instead of actually watching the race- AND NOW YOU'RE ASKING ME HOW IM DOING?!" Y/n snapped as the approached the pair angrily, the two of them leaning back with wide optics, "I should chain you two together dangling off a building just for even ASKING that!!"

"Uh- You wouldn't actually do that right??" D-16 voice cracked a bit, but he quickly shut up when
Y/n's rageful o/c optics turned his way, "N-not joking... Got it..."
