It had been five cycles of non stop walking for the group. The only time they'd take breaks was when it was too dark to see anything, or when someone was low on energon. Elita was VERY determined to push everyone forwards, despite being exhausted herself.

It didn't help that Bee seemed to be full of energy when it came to talking the ENTIRE trip. Even when he was sleeping Y/n could hear him mumbling about giant energon cubes beating him up. Or something along those lines.

Yet even when they had stopped late at nightfall, the group had decided to designate one person each day to take watch. Elita took first watch, Orion took second, then D-16, and everyone collectively agreed that Bee wasn't lookout material, seeing as he got distracted by his own pedes. So, Y/n took the previous two cycles despite D-16 and Orion protesting.

It was now the sixth cycle of their travels, and they were getting closer towards the pinned location. Y/n stood in between Orion and D-16, observing the dead area with their o/c optics. It looked like everything was dried out...most likely due to the energon shortage.

"Look there's more over here." Orion interrupted Bee's singing, as he gestured over to the weird organic like matter.

"What is it?" Elita hummed, curious as well at the weird sight of something not metal.

"It's not metal." D-16 pointed out the obvious and
Y/n ran their service across it.

"It kind of tickles..." Y/n chuckled at the pointy feeling of the texture. Orion joined their side, running his own servos against it.

"It's some kind of weird nature. It's weird." Orion concluded as he reeled his hand away from it, face scrunching up it.

"I think it's neat." Y/n grinned, still looking at it with a studious expression, "It's different, but maybe it's natural over this part of Cybertron?"

Y/n shrugged off as a solution, before gasping as they came face to face with some weird metallic creature. The others turned at the sound, and watched as Y/n and the creature stared at each other.

"Y/n, careful. We don't know what it could do." Orion warned as he took a step to pull Y/n away. But Y/n didn't listen as they tilted their helm, the creature copying as it brought its snout closer to
Y/n's face plate.

"You're beautiful..." Y/n whispered in awe, holding a servo out slowly, the creature letting out a whir as it nuzzled into their servo. Yet, it tore away as a loud boom resonated within the area, shaking the ground a tad. Y/n frowned as the creature's lights shifted to red, before it ran off with the rest of its brethren, prompting Y/n to return to the group's side.

"Ummm- I think this is not right- We should go." Orion finally voiced out in slight confusion and worry.

"Yeah. Good idea." D-16 agreed, the group sprinting alongside the creatures as they looked for cover.

"What are we running from??" Bee asked as he looked around anxiously as he ran.

"Run now. Find out later." Y/n panted as they saw a structure appear from ahead, ignoring the strange whirring sound from, "There!"

Without another word, the group slid over inside the rundown base, hiding behind the old walls as they waited for anything to happen. They all looked up when rumbling was heard, widening their optics at the sight of a giant airship.

"What is that...?" D-16 whispered with fear in his tone, and Y/n gripped his servo instinctively, trying to ease their own anxieties.

"...It's a Quintesson ship..." Orion answered with a grave tone, the mission becoming a lot more dangerous than it was originally supposed to be.
