"It's a promise ring, Sasuke. It's a promise that we'll be together forever and ever... do you accept it?"

Sasuke smiled, a small but genuine smile. "I do, Naruto. I promise to be here for you forever. "

The promise had been sealed.

Naruto lied on his bed, letting his insecurities eat him alive. Sasuke was currently being forced on a mission with Sakura and a few others, which isn't what was bothering Naruto.

It was that he felt so distant from Sasuke nowadays. He felt like Sasuke was never around anymore and always on mission.

When he did come back, it was to sleep a bit before the next mission.

It was late one night... Naruto watched Sasuke sleep, with his chest slowly rising and falling.

Early in the morning, Naruto yawned and stretched, then finally decided to get up and make breakfast.

Breakfast was fairly silent. Truely, Naruto had a whole list of things he wanted to tell Sasuke, but he decided to save it for a little later.

"Naruto? You've been quiet, is something bothering you?" Sasuke exclaimed, waving a hand in front of the dazed blonde.

Naruto grinned fakely and waved Sasuke off. "Oh, it's nothing," said Naruto.

Naruto proceeded to continue dazing out, which worried Sasuke more. "Are you sure? I know I'm not here much, but you can still talk to me, " he reasured, stroking Naruto's hand.

Naruto bit his lip slightly and exhaled.

"You love me, right Sasuke?" The blond asked. Sasuke was taken aback by this question. He was upset that Naruto felt he had to ask this question. He was angry that Naruto thought he might not love him (like, how could that happen... EVER) and he was saddened that his boyfriend was having doubts like this.

"Of course I love you. Why are you asking?" Sasuke questioned.

Naruto smiled, reasuringly.

"No reason. I just wanted to hear ya say it!" Naruto hummed, putting away dishes.

Sasuke and stood up, stretching his arms as Naruto did dishes. "I'm going out for a mission. It's just a c-rank mission, so I'll be back back around nine, and then we can go out for a nice sweet night ... then I've got a suprise for you, " Sasuke told Naruto, as he hugged the blonde from behind and kissed his neck.

"Is it ramen?" The blonde perked up just at the mention.

"It can be," the raven answered.

"Alright, Sasuke, I love you,"

"I love you more," Sasuke said, then left.

The hours passed by quickly. Naruto rolled on his side and checked his phones time. Eight o'clock. Naruto sat up and stretched with a moan. His body felt so sore after that mission he completed about two weeks ago. It almost cost him his life, in fact, which is why he was on a break.

Naruto combed through his hair, put on a nice outfit, and stretched his body out again.

He slouched into a chair in the kitchen and eventually poured himself a glass of wine. Not to get drunk but just for a slight tipsy feeling.

Sasuke unlocked the door and saw his lovely boyfriend Naruto waiting for him, and he greeted the blonde with a kiss on the forehead. "Be sure you're ready, love. I'm just going to take a shower real quick, " he told.
