The Andersons decided to leave Ravenbrook, but it was too late. The night before they were set to leave, the hauntings escalated to a terrifying new level.
The house shook violently as windows shattered, and the walls groaned under the weight of Evelyn's fury. Jack tried to gather the children, but an invisible force pinned him against the wall. Sarah screamed as the furniture around them lifted off the ground, crashing into walls with deafening force.
Lily stood in the middle of the chaos, unafraid. "She's protecting us," she whispered.
Suddenly, Evelyn appeared, her form fully manifested. Her face was a mask of sorrow and rage, her eyes locked on Jack.
"You took her from me," Evelyn hissed, her voice full of venom. "You took them all."
With a scream of anguish, Evelyn reached for Jack, her cold hands wrapping around his throat. He gasped for air, his eyes wide with terror as the life drained from him.
But Lily stepped forward, her small hand reaching out to touch Evelyn's.
"She doesn't need to hurt us, Mommy," Lily said softly. "She just wants to protect us."
For a moment, the ghost mother hesitated. Her glowing eyes softened, and the rage seemed to drain from her.
"Safe..." Evelyn whispered. And just like that, she vanished into the night.
