***Hall of Mirrors***
Alex POV:
"Yeah right, like I'm gonna was a hundred windows. I'm just gonna go back and—" I hear Ace say. "AHA! GOTCHA, PUNK!" Grim exclaims. "Oh no! They saw me!" Ace exclaims before sprinting away. "Stop right there, pal! No fair gettin' a head start! Wait!" Grim shouts angrily. "Who in their right mind would ever wait?! Seeya!" Ace exclaims while running away. "No way are you gettin' out of this! You think I WANNA wash windows?" Grim asks rhetorically. "...Hm?" A blue haired kid walks in. "Outta my way!" Ace exclaims, pushing the boy aside. "Hey! What gives?!" the boy exclaims.
"Hey! Catch the punk!" Carmin exclaims while leaning against the wall. "You want me to cast a spell to stop him? Like, freeze his legs? Or bind them with a rope? Or maybe I could... Hmm... No..." the boy thinks out loud deeply. "I don't care how! Just do something! Anything!" Grim exclaims. "Anything?! Anything, huh...All right! Here goes anything! I summon thee... something heavy!" the boy exclaims anxiously, casting the spell. I hear a thud and look behind me to see Carmin cracking up at the cauldron that fell on Ace. "Bwaaah?! Wha?! A pot?!" Ace exclaims.
"Ah ha ha ha ha! Look, Yuu, look! That Ace guy got crushed beneath a giant cauldron! It squashed him flat! Aha ha ha! That's what you get!" Grim exclaims in laughter. "A cauldron?! I wasn't expecting that. I may have overdone it this time..." the boy mutters as I walk over to him and softly pat his back, earning a surprised glance from him. "Owwww! What are you bothering me for? You guys coulda just banged out the work yourself!" Ace whines.
"You can't really 'bang out' window washing." Yuu states. "Also it was the Headmaster's instructions." Jackson added on. "You have to wash a hundred windows as punishment? What the heck did you do?!" the blue haired boy asks in shock. "I was just screwing with that furball a little. ...Okay, and the statue of the Queen of Hearts almost got a teeny bit charred. Sue me." Ace mutters. "You also charred Jackson." I add on. "Not that bad." Jackson comments nonchalantly. "You almost damaged a statue of the Great Seven and harmed someone?! No wonder he flew off the handle at you! After you managed to get into THIS school, how could you get in trouble on the very first day?!" the blue haired boy exclaims.
"Oh, shut up. Who are you, anyway?" Ace asks. "My name is Deuce. Deuce Spade. Don't you remember your own classmate? Uh..." Deuce trails off. "You don't remember my name either, do you?" Ace asks. "That's not the point! You shouldn't try to shirk an order from the headmage!" Deuce exclaims. "Yeah, yeah, message received... Fine, let's bang out the windows already. Huh...?" Ace says before looking around in confusion.
"Grim has been quiet, too quiet." Carmin states after catching her breath. "The furball! He's gone!" Ace exclaims. "Huh?!" Yuu exclaims and frantically looks around. "Ah ha ha ha! I'll let you two handle the rest! See ya, suckers!" Grim exclaims while running away. "You caught me so YOU could run away yourself?! Hey! You there! Uh... Juice?" Ace says. "My name isn't "Juice". It's Deuce! With a D!" Deuce exclaims in offense. "This is partially your responsibility, you know! So help me catch that little furball!" Ace exclaims while I look at Carmin and nod to the direction Grim ran off to, earning a nod back. "How is this my responsibility?!" Deuce exclaims while Carmin takes out her dagger and chases after Grim. "Grim's useless janitor friend can't use magic. That means this is up to you and me!" Ace exclaims.
