Yuvika's pov
I was doing my office work sitting on my comfortable chair. Then someone entered my cabin without my permission and yes, like everyone else, I also did not like that someone entered my cabin without my permission, but deep inside I knew who it was.
"Stop banging on your laptop or the buttons will come out"
Ok, so he has come here again to trouble me or should I say to interfere in my work. To tell you the truth, he was born only to trouble me because if this sahab did any other work apart from this, I would have been shocked.
"I am not in the mood to joke right now Himank, I have a lot of work to complete so it will be better for you to leave me alone for some time" I told him without taking my head off my laptop. "After some time I will be back."
"Come on Yuvika, aren't you tired of sitting here since morning?" he asked sitting on the chair opposite me.
"My work is not yet complete. I will get up once it is done. There is no need for you to worry about it."
"But your work is already complete " he said with a sigh.
"I know my work is done but I want perfection which I haven't got yet, so I will continue my work until I get what I want."
I know I am always looking for perfection. But I want my clients to be satisfied with my work and not get any chance to complain.
"You'll make yourself sick if this keeps up." he said with a worried face.
"I don't care! I don't care if I'm sick or anything, my company is my life and anything for it." I finally looked up from my laptop and looked at him with a proud smile.
"Okay, don't think about yourself, but at least look at the time while working. You had to go to Mr. Singhania's place today to attend his party, did you forget?"
Oh shit, how did I forget this? Mr Singhania is one of the best jewellers in India and his company has reached great heights in the jewellery business. And today is his 30th wedding anniversary For which they have organized a very big party, they have invited me too. When I saw their invitation, I got suspicious at first because neither we know them well nor we are their company partner. But whatever it is, this party or going to this party can be beneficial for my company.
Many owners of big companies are coming there, when I meet them all then I will be able to talk to them about some business projects. I don't know why Mr. Singhania invited me but I will do my work only.
Well, the question of not inviting to the party does not arise. I am the CEO of India's second largest and most successful company. If he does not invite me, then will he invite small street vendors? My company which I built with my hard work is finally at the second position but I have vowed to myself that I will soon convert this second position tag to the first position.
Talking about the businessman reminded me that he must be the same. Oh God, why was he put on this earth? I can handle anything but I don't want to see his face because it is beyond my tolerance. But why am I even remembering him, he is not worthy of coming into Yuvika Maheshwari's thoughts. You all must be thinking about whom I am talking but have some patience, gradually everything will be revealed.
"Did you get any gift?"
"Of course, I did! I knew you'd forget it for sure," he said with a sigh and shrugged.
"Quit running your stupid mouth" I said, rolling my eyes in irritation.
"Ouch! This hit the nail on the head, Yuvika. Now I and my mouth are useless?" he said, folding his arms dramatically. "A friend is no longer a friend..." Himank said like a song.
