The day had finally arrived.

Thalia stood in front of the full-length mirror in her room, her heart racing as she took in her reflection. Her engagement saree—a stunning deep maroon, laced with intricate golden embroidery—flowed elegantly around her frame, accentuating every curve in a way that made her feel both powerful and delicate.

The blouse was backless, held together by delicate strings, and her hair cascaded down in soft waves. She looked... radiant.

Her fingers fiddled with the matching gold earrings, and she bit her lip, trying to calm the butterflies swirling in her stomach.

The engagement wasn't just a formality—it was a declaration, the first step toward a life with Shubman, and suddenly, the weight of that reality made her both excited and nervous.

The door creaked open, pulling her from her thoughts.

Shubman walked in, his eyes widening the moment he saw her. He was dressed in a crisp sherwani, the ivory and gold complementing his tall, athletic frame perfectly.

His gaze was locked on her, drinking in every detail. He didn't say anything at first, just stood there, a crooked smile slowly spreading across his face.

"Thalia..." he finally whispered, his voice rough with emotion. "You look... unreal. Like you just stepped out of a dream."

She blushed, her eyes darting to the floor for a moment before meeting his intense gaze again. "You don't look so bad yourself, Mr. Gill."

He smirked, walking closer until he was standing right in front of her. His fingers brushed against the bare skin of her back, sending shivers down her spine.

"You ready for this, baby?"

She swallowed, her heart pounding as she looked up into his eyes. "I don't think I've ever been more ready for anything in my life."

Shubman's smile softened, his thumb tracing her cheek. "Good. Because I'm not letting you back out of this." His tone was teasing, but there was something deeper behind it, something real and raw.

She laughed softly, swatting at his chest playfully. "I wouldn't dream of it."

The hall was buzzing with excitement. Family, friends, teammates, and loved ones had gathered, dressed to the nines. The atmosphere was electric, filled with love, laughter, and anticipation.
