The kiss...maybe it was an optical illusion? Or some kind of prank? I mean, the two are polar opposites. Connor's a cheery goofball and Skye is...not.

It's actually kinda funny; Connor was pretty reserved when I first met him, especially in comparison to his brother. But the closer we became, the more he started to open up and let his silly side shine a little. I guess I rubbed off on him.

Or did I? I don't even know what my personality is anymore. OG Ohio me was a scared, shy, sensitive mess of emotions. Alabama me was a toxic masculine nightmare. Ohio me #2 was a somewhat normal average kid just trying to find his place and fit in, until Jonah crushed my heart into a billion pieces and sent me spiraling into a pit of despair. And Florida me? Who the fuck knows. People loved the class clown until he took things way too far, and now I'm just nothing but an anxious outcast who's in the midst of losing everything.

This is what always happens. As soon as things are starting to go better for me, something comes out of left field and kicks me back to rock bottom.

Anyway, I'm half-tempted to just outright announce that I saw what Skye and Connor did back there, but we've had enough drama for one day. Plus, I'm not *completely* positive that I saw some smooching happening. The angle was weird, the window was grimy, and they were a fair distance away.

I'll deal with whatever that was later, but for now, I close my eyes, take a deep breath and pull out my phone to shoot Evan a text. The guilt is eating me up inside.
