The data she noted in her notebook about Captain Jones's death and her suspicion of Marco Jones goes on board when she has a lot of evidence to dive into. Lance his partner couldn't even think of something to plan on their investigation. Claudette kept the case closed for a while since she had to visit her family first on the day of her day off.
It's been a while since she visited her old house. Nothing has changed since the last time she moved on her own. The pleasant environment still welcomed her and this is the place where she missed all the good times with her family.
"Claudette dear you made it" Her mom hugged her when she entered the door. She was glad her daughter visited.
"I miss you Mom" She hugged her mother tightly. "Where's dad?"
"He was in the living room watching his favorite show"
"Not again, did dad already stop watching too many shows?" She whimpered.
"Oh you know your dad, he doesn't mean what he said sometimes." Her mom blurted making her laugh.
Claudette's mother is a cheerful person based on her actions. She wants to have her daughter back at their house again. It wasn't the same without her living all by herself. She wished she could make her daughter go back to the way they lived before but she was old enough to be independent on her own.
"Honey! Our sweet daughter came here to visit us." Her mom shouted in the living room.
"Wait, is this for real?" Her father ran towards the front door.
"Hey Dad, how are you?" She greeted them after seeing her father happy.
"Oh my! You didn't inform us you were coming home" He approached her daughter for a hug. "How is your work?"
"Everything is cool Dad" she replied. "I'm doing my duty so far"
"Well you should take it easy with those now, you have to at least take a break" he took the bag from her and they went inside the living room.
"I know, that's why when I received mom's messages I didn't hesitate to come home." She said smiling. "I see, there's nothing change since then in this house."
"Of course dear, your brother was unhappy when you left." Her mom said.
"Where is he by the way?" She asked.
"He's upstairs, he will be coming down with us. I bet he's asleep."
"Asleep? At this hour?" She muttered. "I guess he was so hooked up with video games lately."
"Yes, he is," Her dad said. "That's what his life revolves around you know."
"By the way Mom, can I go upstairs to my room?"
"Of course, your brother always goes there."
Claudette then went to her room when she was still living in this house. The place is already spacious since she took all her things before she lived alone. The window is open and the nice wind blows off the curtains. Her computer set is still in her room, it's good that it wasn't dusty since she knows her brother was using her computer.
"Sis? Since when did you come here?" Her brother was at the bedroom door.
"Oh! You awake"
"You never told me you'd visit," he said, he seemed glad to see his sister.
"Of course, Mom texted me and said I should come here so we could have seen each other." She looked at his brother who was now staring at her.
"I'm not hallucinating, right? Is that you there?" He was twitching his eyes as if observing me.
