The three guests who had arrived at the Warburton mansion a while ago were seated in the drawing room. The blonde man was sitting on the floor cross legged playing with Oreo, lord Theodore's pet panther. While the other two sat on the sofa, sipping their tea.

Myra meekly entered inside through the back door, as she didn't want to encounter the Lord's guest. She even took the back stairs, through the west wing, instead of taking the main staircase to reach the guest room. Myra being an introverted kind of person, she usually felt awkward in making a conversation with strangers. So, she decided to avoid them for the time being.

Reaching her room, she quietly shut the door and picked up a book that was kept on the bed side table. Sitting comfortably on the armchair, Myra started reading the book from the page she had left off last night, before going to bed.

Downstairs, Lord Theodore stepped inside the mansion after returning back from the Ministry.

"Theo!" waved the blonde man, coming down from the main stairs.

"When did you arrive?" asked the Lord casually, taking off his overcoat. He then walked over to the chaise lounge and dumped himself on it.

"About an hour ago", replied the blonde man, sitting next to the Lord.

"Hmm". Theodore stayed quiet for a minute, before asking, "I don't see Noah and Georgina around?". Unbuttoning his shirt sleeve, theo rolled it up.

"Ah! George went upstairs to change and freshen up, while Noah is--"

"I'm here" chimed in another voice, heading towards them. The man's brown hair was wet and all tousled up, and he had changed into a new pair of casual clothing. Extending his hands towards the lord, he said "Theodore"

Theo took the extended hand and gave it a firm shake with a slight nod. "Noah".

Then Noah took an empty seat, facing the Lord.

"How did it go?" questioned Theodore looking at his two close buddies.

All the three of them were Theodore's most trusted friends. Who had been to Stonefort for two weeks upon his orders, to negotiate a secret deal.

"Actually great" said the blond man looking enthusiastic. "That old geezer Qui--"

"Not now, Devon" Noah cut him out warningly, shifting his gaze to the maid who was cleaning the window pane nearby.

Theodore followed Noah's line of sight and on seeing a maid in the room, he frowned.

"ALVIN?!!" ,Theodore called out.

The butler appeared within seconds and stood before the Lord. "Prepare a cup of tea along with some refreshments and send it up to my chambers, with her", the lord said blankly, pointing at the maid.

The maid was newly assigned to work at the Warburton's. She turned around slightly, when she heard the Lord's command and saw him pointing at her. Smiling innocently, the maid looked at the Lord and blushed lightly, lashing her eyes a couple of times at him.

"Woman?! Is something wrong with your eyes?" asked the blonde man named Devon, sounding concerned.

The maid frowned, her face going red as a tomato. "N-No.. sir".

"I thought something must have gotten into your eyes, since you started blinking it continuously", responded Devon, sounding fake concerned.

Noah, tried to hide his chuckle while the butler frowned darkly looking at the Maid's suspicious behaviour.

Usually all the servants working for families of higher society are trained not to display any expressions on their faces and to mind their own work, but this woman was acting otherwise.
