The compound was buzzing with life and activity. The alpha house had already been prepared and even their stuff had been moved in with a day. The pack was eager to have their alphas home. Skye was still reeling from everything but she was hiding out in the kitchen. The room was huge and was going to become her little sanctuary. Especially when she would have to escape her ever loving alpha mate.

Hunt, Balthazar, Ayden, and Remy were ensconced in the study with some of the enforcers also. Not a lot of talking about the oncoming battle was happen because they were waiting for when the vampires arrived plus Hunt's parents. Skye just wanted to relax and not think about all the horrors of her life lately.

She was peeling apples to make some pies. Sitting at the breakfast nook that was in one corner. She already taken a tour of the house and it was nice. Plenty of room. There was even a huge ass dining room table and also the compound had a huge banquet hall for when the pack comes together.

She was just sitting there when someone bustled in through the swinging door by using their hip. The first thing she saw was the wild dark fiery red curls that flew through the air and a soft soothing humming. The woman who just came in froze when their eyes met.

Skye noticed she was curvy just like her and maybe even had a little more hip going on but she was still so beautiful. Her hair was like a mane that showed off her face which held a blush across her cheeks. She was wearing a flowing skirt and top.

"Oh Luna, I'm sorry." she said in her calm and soothing voice.

Skye smiled and shook her head. "You have nothing to be sorry for. Please go about your business and its Skye. No need to call me Luna."

The woman smiled softly and her blush darkened a little. Skye saw she had another basket full of fruits.

"I was just dropping this off for you. I heard you like to bake and I thought you might like some fresh fruit," the woman said

Skye stood up. "Why thank you so much."

She saw the woman look at her stomach. Skye swears she actually saw yearning in her eyes, the woman before seems to be missing something in her life. She put those thoughts to the back of her mind. Skye smiled softly and placed her hand on it as she approached.

"What do we have?" she asked

"Um there are some berries, peaches, oranges, and lemons."

"Yummy and thank you." Skye said

"You're welcome Lu...Skye." the woman corrected herself before she could call her Luna.

Skye just smiled and took the basket from her. She sat it on the bench and looked in it. Then she looked over her shoulder.

"Oh I forgot. What is your name?"

"Rosemary O'Brien." she said

"Well it's a pleasure to meet you Rosemary." Skye said as she held her hand out and they shook hands. "Did you grow these yourself?"

"Yes. The alpha kindly gave me a paddock of land to grow my own veggies, herbs, and fruits on. I grow for the pack and also pleasure."

"Oh wow that would be so good. I would love to see it."

Rosemary smiled so happily. "I would be honoured to have you come see it. Whenever you would like."

"Good."

"If you don't mind me asking what were you up to before I interrupted?" Rosemary asked

"Oh you didn't interrupt me. I was just peeling some apples to make pies with. I'm guessing they came from you." Skye said as she walked over to the nook and Rosemary followed.
