8:00 am, Monday morning:

*BUZZ* *BUZZ* Huh? *BUZZ* *BUZZ* ugh! Why does my stupid alarm have to go off? Can I complain? It's the first day of Senior year and after the catastrophe that was my grades last year, I can't afford to skip school. I get out of bed in a zombie manner, if you can't tell this isn't my forte. As an attempt to wake myself up, I stretch my limbs and quickly lift myself off the comfortable mattress only to instantly regret it as I begin to feel light-headed and fall straight back onto the bed, almost knocking myself into a coma by hitting my head on the bed frame. I don't have time to laze around! I pick myself up and walk downstairs to the kitchen where I see...no one, everyone must have left. It's my fault for setting my alarm so late on the first day of school. I don't have enough time to sit and eat. I pick up an apple and walk back upstairs.

Now I need to find something to wear and it can't be the same leggings and hoodie I wore every day last year. I search through my closet and decide on black ripped jeans, a white singlet, and a black leather jacket. I never go too full on with the outfit like most girls, wearing clothes that reveal their ass and breast. I have small boobs and... an average ass- okay anyway that's too much information. I then go into the bathroom to fix my monstrosity of a bird's nest I call my hair. I blame having curly hair for this problem. I manage to make myself presentable in only 10 minutes and check my phone to see how much time I have left. 8:15. Not bad, I only need to be at school by 9:00, Maybe I'll watch TV for a bit. As I'm heading down the stairs I get a call from my best friend Bella. Well, there goes my free time. I pick up the phone,

"Hey Bella"

"Hey Lucia, guess what day it is!" She says in an overly excited tone.

"How could I forget? First day back at Hell" I say with a sarcastically bubbly voice.

"More like the first day of the hot boy parade"

"I beg to differ" If it wasn't already obvious, Bella is very boy-orientated. I don't personally get it but whatever works for her I guess.

"Lighten up, maybe this will be the year we girls find our prince charming"

"I highly doubt it, I don't believe in fairytales"

"Well you won't find anyone with that attitude, anyways I'm on my way to pick you up, be ready."

"All good, see you soon, ciao"

"Bye," The call ended. I wasn't up for meeting new guys, to me they just all seem to be the same. Boring, sappy, stubborn boys, and if not that, then just complete utter douchebags. Besides, my grades from last year are a perfect example of why dating is a terrible idea. My focus needed to be completely on doing well in school...as well as getting ready for school NOW!

8:30 am, At School:

We finally arrive at school only to be shocked by an almost empty hallway. I begin questioning whether or not it's even the first day back at school.

I check my phone and soon find the answer to my queries. The time was 8:30. Too early for anyone to be here. We decided to go to the Principal's office to get our locker numbers, that way we wouldn't have to find out when everyone else did. The first step into being academically better this year, is checked off!

Luckily for me, the principal loves me despite my terrible track record, so I was able to arrange our lockers so that Bella and I could be next to each other. We head to our lockers to put our belongings in there. There was not much else to do than to walk around the school and admire the quiet but cold, empty serenity while it lasted.

Turns out the football field had new synthetic grass put down as well and the bathrooms were transformed with a complete makeover. The removal of that thick tobacco stench was long overdue if you ask me.
